What's the DMoll bring to the party that the other Diezel models don't have? What's its "niche"?

Some of those amps in the background actually look like they belong in the kitchen if that's what that is back there.

Hi Rupe,

DMoll - if you want - is the follow up to Einstein (similar channel layout) but with Midi and Herbert's mid cut feature.

Also since Hagen Diezel's first channel can cover a lot more ground than just Hifi clean . . .

Thanks Olaf

It's by far my favorite Diezel and over anything else I have owned for tone and functionality. All 3 channels serve a purpose.

Does the DMoll's ch3 sound similar to the Herberts ch3?

I think it is looser, best I remember from my old Herbert.

 This thing looks great in white - is it their most aggressive sounding amp? As in sounds like a chainsaw to the throat, pissed off roar, in your face neck breaking gain...

Would you call the D-Moll a vintage-voiced high-gain, or a modern-voice high-gain? Would it be good for playing in the styles of say early Aerosmith, Judas Priest, AC/DC, Gary Moore, Rush, etc... ?

Damn that's prrrty! Is there much of an upcharge when you go custom like that?

Modern more than vintage......

Channel 1 will go from clean to vintage (British) gain.
Channel 2 is channel 3 of the VH4. Lots of headroom, very recognizable covers a lot of ground.
Channel 3 is very open, modern and tons of gain. Easily shares the EQ with channel 2.

Mid-cut is assignable across all 3 channels and is killer for this amp.

It's the best all around, functional amp I have owned. And, that says a hell of a lot.

Steve is there a diff between 2/3 tone wise
I read in Premier guitar they said that 2 was a bit thicker low mid voiced ch 3 being more upper mid bite
is that incorrect??

Channel 3 definitely has more bite. Much more open, with some sizzle. If you use the same settings on the channel 2/3 EQ and just switch from 2 to 3, it immediately goes into another dimension. Goes from a thick, VH4 type controlled gain into something a bit brighter and open. With the mid-cut set to suit, it is really nice. You essentially turn this 3 channel amp into a 6 channel amp. There is also a solo master that goes across all 3 channels. Each channel has its own gain/master, in addition to the main master. So, like other Diezel's, you can play with the channel masters and main master to control headroom vs. compression, which there is very little of on this amp. It is all gain and headroom. It is a little beast.

Here's a clip I did on channel 2.

Huber Orca and a volume pedal up front....

Everything was probably straight up 12:00, except for the main master which was probably around 10:00. Mid-cut, I usually run right at noon too. That was through a cab and using a Zoom recorder. I have been running through the active monitors and the Two Notes Torpedo Live without a cab.
