I love it already!

Can't wait for the whole album and i have great seats seeing them at Wembley here in the UK. There set is 3 hours doing one of there "Evening With Dream Theater" things.

Looking forward to it

Listening now.....digging it....these guys always bring it. JP is certainly a guitar hero of the highest magnitude. Loving the rhythm tones he's using here....pretty brutal.

Can't stream it from work or phone, I'll have to wait until I get home....

I have to say I'm not blown away. I hope that's the "single" because it's nothing like as good as anything from the last record (let alone the KM-era stuff).

sounds pretty good, i'm looking forward to checking out the rest of the album

i could definitely do without the fruity tones that jordan rudess likes to use (what is his solo tone on this one, an electric marimba?), but different strokes for different folks i guess

petrucci and labrie were definitely on point in my opinion

NIce, fat, full, and tight sounding, right out of the gate.

Fucking guitars sound absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!!

The drums sound really weird, and I HATE the snare. The keys and vocals kill it for me :(. So sad. I could REALLY dig Petrucci in a different band.

Sounds great, but sounds like the last bunch of albums' songs. As an aside, I really like iguitar magazine. That Andy James can bring it too.

This song kicks ass up until LaBrie starts singing!!!

As with all Dream Theatre songs, an otherwise great instrumental is tainted by the addition of James LaBrie's vocals
I fully appreciate that DT wouldn't be DT without James LaBrie & that he is a huge part of their sound, but the vocals have always ruined the DT experience for me.
The verse sections for 'Dark Eternal Night', for example, are absolutely shocking. I almost can't believe that a band as musically versed as DT allowed LaBrie & Portnoy to put those vocals down.

You know...I see what some point out with Labrie and Dream Theater, but I don't think it's really him? I would have a tough time writing vocal melodies over that stuff.

It's like they write this off time stuff, and present it to him and say, work with it.

If it was really Labrie, how come his solo stuff kicks so much ass? Cuz it does....I actually prefer it to dream theater.
