not that it matters to the design or me but they do appear to be built in Vietnam even the 100. May bother some

yep...vietnam

My used DSL has the little Brit flag and Made in England.

Any other diff in the amp aside of little kids assembling them? Maybe some of the same kids making those Polo shirts?

You can buy the used Made in England models all day long, why buy a new one that is MIV?

Perhaps the features of the new amps are compelling, such as the 40watt combo with EL34's. Not many liked the DSL401 with EL84's.

The 15 watter looks interesting. But "Made in Vietnam"? Probably not going to give it any attention for that reason alone.....

I like the Resonance dial, front panel looks better too.
MIV.....deal breaker for many.

Who here that has questioned where these are built have an Iphone, Ipod, Ipad, etc..................

A total of $10 in labor is required to complete an Iphone at Foxxcomm, the factory known for employee suicides.

So an unstable workforce that lives where it works is ok for your I-whatever but not good for amps?

The EVH 5150 iii 50 watt fans seemed to embrace the Vietcong.

After the recent "Tet offensive gen 2" launched earlier this year, fender was forced to withdraw their production forces to Mexico.

Shortly thereafter Marshall landed on the beach and signed an agreement to take over the factories for their new DSL production.

Yes.

Any "I" devices' useful life is probably 3 years. I would like to think a guitar amplifier will last longer than that.

Too many production horror stories - I'm staying away from China and ASEAN country amps until a better track record has been established.

To each their own, however.

Not to forget, I also choose to protect jobs in the crumbling developed world (ie, North America, UK, Europe) by buying as many products as I can that are produced in these countries.

I see most modern guitar amps as disposable akin to flatscreen tv's personally, even (some) made in North America/Europe.

Today's consumers even many guitar players (imo) are conditioned to accept that today's goods are made to end up in a landfill, even if you pay over $2000 for one.

I didn't care for the original DSLs. I'll pass on this version too.

The MIV isn't a political or economy motivator for me. I really don't care about those aspects.
An Asian made amp just isn't something I want, purely as a consumer.
I love and use Chinese Celestions though.
I guess I'm less picky about the "tires" on my car than I am the "engine" inside it.
Canadian, German, British, American will do just fine. Lots of choices there.

Foxconn has a lower percentage of suicides than China overall. :D
