Eh............I perfer the mast amount of switches on the normal one's that make people yell and scream at it while trying to find the bridge postion

Nice looking guitar.

I don't know about simple, I'm kinda confused already...

The pickup selections are as follows:

*Note: Coils 1-4 go from closest to bridge to neck
*Note: 1s2 means Coil 1 in series with Coil 2; 1p2 means Coil 1 in parallel with Coil 2;
1: 1s2
2: (1s2)p3
3: 2 (tone push/pull pot down); 3 (tone push/pull pot up); both selections have a trim pot to decrease gain ONLY in this position
4: (1s2)p(3s4)
5: 3s4

Steve needs to just play a strat with a bucker in the bridge and ditch all these settings to split coils :D

They make some pretty guitars and ruin them with the ugliest bridges on the planet....

Form follows function

Is it really new? It's an axis body with the Morse hard tail bridge and anniversay Silo mount rings. Done up in the hallowed "BFR" regalia.

Nice guitar though.

I love my Morse and Axis guitars. Different, but both play and sound really nice.
So this might be killer combo....and it might not be. Love to try it out.

I went to the site and it turns out its the new Morse Y25D prototype. So that explains it. Makes more sense now.

Also, I believe the 25 anniversary (that this is modeled after) is larger than an AXIS and has chambering.

Seriously? The look of a bridge is a deal breaker? Really?

It definitely has its own thing going on, I bet it plays like butter. My ex petrucci did, I just thought the neck was a bit too slim for my gorilla hands. I havent had good luck switching pups with that many options on tap. 3 seems to be the magic number for me. That neck is beautiful

Yep, though this one is the least offensive of the Ernie Balls. I've always wanted an Axis, but I'm not a Floyd player and it doesn't look like you can replace the other bridges without problems. I'd rather spend more money and have a custom guitar made first...
