They make some pretty guitars and ruin them with the ugliest bridges on the planet....
Bah pretty guitar!!!

It's how it sounds and plays my boy!

Form follows function

sorry guys those bridges are a deal-breaker for me...

Seriously? The look of a bridge is a deal breaker? Really?

Yep, though this one is the least offensive of the Ernie Balls. I've always wanted an Axis, but I'm not a Floyd player and it doesn't look like you can replace the other bridges without problems. I'd rather spend more money and have a custom guitar made first...

The Axis Super Sports are pretty much the Axis, with a 5 way, a tone, and a vintage trem or a hardtail, unless you don't like the tone knob?

It's their vintage trem that I can't stand the most, the way it pops up at the tail. :gay:

If it could be easily replaced, I'd go for it, but they look huge and I don;'t know if you could replace it with a standard 2 pole bridge...

Just to be clear, I'm not some TGP douche that has to have everything with AAAAAAA tops and such. Far from it, most of my guitars are beat to hell from years of gigging. There's just some things that bug me... Kinda like Suhr (Kramer Pacer) headstocks, and don't even get me started on how ugly Tylers are. Though I know they're great instruments.

wow, i like it...would love to see a maple board on that as well

Fair enough, different fiddles for different folks right?

for some reason that guitar it just screams.."im a known name in the industry and i have to be different"

i like the Ernie Ball hard tail way better than that t-o-m

imo looks like a company trying to win over paul reed smith guitars... :scared:

I don't really see the PRS connection. By the way, here's a pick of my Y2D:

Nice!

You don't have one yet?!!
I got mine used for a nice price...keep an eye open I think you'd like it. ;)

Funny, of all the guitars I have downstairs (Les Paul, SG, Wolfgang, muliple strats....) the only ones I pull out to play are the Axis SS P-90 guitar and the Morse Y2D guitar.

Well yeah ok, so I don't have one yet ;) I'm selling a few from the stable that I don't use for one reason or another, and I found a Y2D for sale used so.... ;)

Honestly, I've been away for a year and have just been getting to play this for the first real sustained stretch:

And this, the first new guitar I bought, back from 2003:

but yes, I would very much like to score a Y2D, after I sell off what doesn't get used...so my wife doesn't shoot me in the face
