After 2 years of hard work, the new wah wah is here =) For those that don't know, EMB Audio made custom gear in the 1980s and 1990s. The most popular piece was the Remote (rack mount) Wah. This was used by Steve Vai, Kirk Hammett, Slash, Santana, etc. After being out of business for quite some time (late 1990s), the wahs are back! Check it out =)

-Based on the EMB Audio Remote Wah
-Completely analog design with studio quality headroom
-Handbuilt
-True bypass
-NO traditional wah pots or switches to wear out
-Selectable effect ON allows you to activate the wah at the HEEL or TOE position or both.
-Illuminated pedal
-"Big foot" chassis (custom made larger than EB)
-Guitar AND bass mode
-Expansion port
-Pre drilled and tapped holes for pedalboard mounting
-6AA or 9v power supply
-4 front panel controls (the labels in the photo will change): START, FINISH, WEIGHT, DEPTH allow full control over shaping and tuning
-4 different pedal tapers are available
-Output attenuation allows for the original Remote Wah level or higher/lower

Glad you got it going man! They look great....does the rim light up (that's a REALLY cool look) or is it just that background shining thru it on the 2nd pic? Either way, excited to hear this!
 
Your demo you put up was awesome as well. Great sounding wah and looks badass too.

It really does light up when the pedal is on =)

I've owned all of the rack mount Crybaby units and love them! Still have Steve vai's 1S and an old 1SR. They're great, but totally different.

I know the pricing will be something that many will take notice of, but follow me here....

The original EMB AUDIO REMOTE WAH and this new EMB PEDAL WAH are nothing like a Fulltone, Teese, Area51, or any other boutique pedal out there. The only thing the EMB wahs have in common is that they produce a "wah effect" and that's it.

To compare them via price points really isn't fair. A $70 Crybaby or a $435 boutique wah simply cannot be lumped into the same category as an EMB Wah. It's just a different animal.

Those guys are using the same 40 year old formula simply with tighter tolerances and hand picked values to get their variation on the same tone. I recently saw someone selling their new "srv" inspired wah for $435. Stuff gets up there but we truly feel that the price for the EMB Pedal Wah is worth it. There simply is nothing else like it, other than an original Remote Wah.

Do keep in mind the original Remote Wahs were about $800 with no pedal included. Today that would be closer to around $1100 or so. The 2012 Reissues we sold started at $800 with a pedal.

So being that the new EMB Pedal Wah is capable of not only capturing the Remote Wah's tone and feel, but actually goes beyond that, the pricing is a pretty good deal

Now it's totally understandable if someone is satisfied with a more basic, traditional wah. Or even one of the higher end boutique wah pedals. That's totally cool. But for those that want a very different and unique option (because there really IS NO alternative, lol) the EMB Pedal Wah is here.
 
Looks bulletproof, I think $500 is the perfect price point for this quality.

That's really cool looking. Now I've never had or tried an EMB wah before, so how is the pedal travel? Does it feel similar to Ernie Ball volume pedals? It looks as if it would have a similar travel...
