New Gear vs Used Gear

Amps and pedals I don't mind buying used. I don't like buying used guitars though.

This thread I guess partly explains why guitars have always been the hardest ones for me to sell vs amps, pedals, pickups, speakers, tubes, etc. If only more luthiers today actually made guitars with tone as the priority LOL and no more bs poly or oil finishes or other specs that kill tone
