That's so different from what I've come to expect from them but I definitely like it.

This new album will definitely be decisive among fans, but I'm digging what I've heard so far.

I like that tune better than "Stranded", but neither one of them is really making me hard. I hope the rest of the album is a helluva lot more interesting AND heavier.

I'm a big fan, and nothing off the new album has excited me.

There is also this off the new album :

This is a lot better but still..... damnit, I hate when bands do this. Lol

I know what they're doing and hey maybe it will work for them.

This song I thought was good, If this was just a completely different band I may have a different view though.

I will say the production and guitar tone is completely amazing. Do you know what they recorded with?

I've not heard any of their other songs. Made it 1/2 through this one. The main riff is real cool. The vocal arrangement could not have been more dull or boring. No hook at all.

EDIT: made it through the second one. Not really my thing, I guess. But it was produced well and they did a good job for what I assume that genre is. Reminds me a bit of what I remember of Opeth years ago, but more straight forward.

I have seen them multiple times since From Mars to Sirius. At least a couple of times each tour. Ever since they switched to the torpedo live, I have not enjoyed their live performances. The last time I saw them was opening up for Metallica in Quebec City in 2015 and they did not receive a good audience reaction. The audience was not into it at all.

These 3 songs so far do not inspire much confidence unfortunately. They seem, for lack of a better word, boring. I guess I give them credit for trying something new, but I wonder if a new band would break through on the strength of this material. I'll still see them when they come around but I am less enthusiastic each time, much like Lamb of God.

I just saw them on tour with Mastodon and they KILLED it.
Sounded IMMENSELY better than Mastodon.
Agreed. Gojira are a wrecking ball live, and they blew Mastodon off the stage. I'll have to hear this new album in it's entirety a few times before being too judgemental.

It's an album that's going to take a while to digest. Low Lands has a bit of an AIC vibe going on. Still some really heavy stuff though so Don't worry about that.

The new record is great in my book....different? Yes...but great nevertheless. Big fan of Gojira and the new record goes a simpler route and shorter songs etc but it is still very cool. I liked it first listen and like it more and more as time goes on. I highly recommend it.

It's one of the bands I really WANT to like, but just can't get into.
Songs never seem to go anywhere for me and never remember them afterwards.

Listened to the whole album... I don't like to judge until I've really listened to an album a bunch, but wow, they phoned it in on this one. Granted, it's my first impression, but I'm pretty bummed.

Never could get into them but recent caught onto a sight to behold. Great track. The new record tracks sound more like what i could get into. Its mostly the constant scream that is killing the older stuff for me.

Stranded & Silvera are very strong........haven't listened to The Shooting Star yet.

Fuck those who want a band to record the same type of song in the same style over & over........that gets boring as fuck for both the band & listener.
