I've only got a couple songs from them. They sound like bro metal to me.

This song sounds like Ghost.

Well, they are evolving, learning to get more of a simple groove, not stuck in a rut, feeling the whole song instead of just a bunch of notes, letting the riffs breath more, and...

I still like the old stuff WAY better

Just listened to the new album. Perfect length and feel. Love it

The album isn't out till tomorrow. How did you listen the whole album through?

I like the three songs I've heard so far. Very different, but cool to hear something different from them.

I've been getting into these guys more and more over the last couple years. For me, they kind of fill a gap between Lamb Of God and Mastodon. I'm digging the new stuff I've heard so far, these songs should be pretty damn cool live!

So far, my favorite tune from them has got to be "Flying Whales". I can't help but to feel like a giant when that riff kicks in! I was out for a jog a couple weeks ago when it popped up on my headphones and my legs just started stomping the ground....I slowed right down and acted like I was 15 in a moshpit on the side of the road for a minute.

Advance copy :D

I find this genre doesn't really move...lots o chug and attempts at melody but let's be honest, I want some excitement. I think the progressive metal bands do it better. For example, I would listen to Pagan's Mind over this any day of the week.

Only introduced to this band recently since they're playing at Chicago Open Air in july and I have tickets for all three days. Been playing COA playlists to get familiar with bands Im not in touch with and thought Gojira was pretty good. Early stuff reminds me a lot of Strapping Young Lad...which is awesome cause I'm a Devy fanboi.

Not Magma though. Totally new sound and it's probably my favorite new release in a LONG time. I love it. Like Ghost with hairy balls...and I don't even like ghost that much.
Great car or beach album to go to Valhalla for an hour. Turned me into a dedicated fan. Pumped to see them live! Just my .02 cents.

It's a shame they don't play the intro live. It makes the song epic, where live, it's a cool heavy riff but it loses the awesome build. Definitely one of my favorites by them.
