I custom ordered this Classic right before the shop flood in late June. Just came in today. I haven't felt this giddy about a new guitar for a long time. Very nice!

On another note - now that you own so many Andersons, do you ever think about branching out into some other brands? Just wondering...

I used to play Gibson and EBMM for years. These just fit me. I have become pretty spoiled by the Even Taper neck carve and the neck bolt. I wouldn't mind owning a nice Fender Strat or Tele someday. In addition, I did a little work with Tom and Roy and worked a good deal on this killer spec.

Oh man. Beautiful!

By the way, play what you love. I use all Fender Stratocasters. Nothings else matters to me.
I can do everything with them. Electronics are the key.

That's probably the only strat I've looked at for more than 2 seconds. Yeah, I find strats boring. But that sir, is not boring. I'm going to have to stop looking now. I can not buy any more gear and I don't want to start jonesing for an Anderson.

LOL

Thats a beauty Chad , BTW if you still have the Bottle Rocket how about some more Harum Scarum .

How do you like the chocolate maple in contrast to maples of other sorts? I am curious about how the boost switch alters tone. Congrats on the guitar! Just stunning!

Not a strat guy myself, but this is exactly how I would want one if I got one. Alder, maple, rosewood, tobacco burst, black pick guard, cream pickups. Quite a beauty you have there.

I have the same boost switch feature on my Anderson. They don't say how it works, but their description of what the it does to your tone is here...

My description would be a slight volume boost with some additional high frequencies. It cuts better, sounds a little hotter with whatever gain/distortion you have engaged. The only potential down side is that it does add a bit of noise, but not so much that I'd notice it in a band setting.

IMO, it doesn't alter the tone. The purpose is to draw more moisture out of the neck which gives it the darker color. I just love the way it looks aesthetically with the body finish. A modern tribute of the SRV.

That is a nice guitar.. I've always been partial toward the stained woods instead of solid colors. drool.

Love it. I dig this much better than the ones with the binding around a maple top (no offense to you binding wrapped flame players).

Every guitar I have seen you play has a humbucker in the bridge . How are you liking the single coils ?

Another nice addition to your Anderson arsenal. What are your thoughts on the Buzz Feiten tuning system ?

As an avowed Anderson player, I approve this thread!!! ;)

Beautiful guitar!

That said, how is this different than your black "Gilmour" Classic aside from color and neck wood?
