I just received my 5th custom ordered Tom Anderson guitar. As you all know I am a huge fanboy not just because of the guitars but that Tom and his team are some of the best in the business with their customers. I decided to go with a Pro Am this time as I just wanted a straight up rocker. Some of you may remember that I used to have an EBMM Petrucci in Lava Pearl. I have always been a fan of orange/bronze type finishes. I decided to pay tribute to that guitar but have it be "My" signature spec. Here are the specs for the order:

Model - Pro Am
Body Finish - Metallic Orange
Body Wood - Basswood
Neck Wood - Chocolate Maple
Neck Finish - Gloss Headstock and Satin Back--natural
Nutwidth - 1 11/16-inch
Frets - Jumbo
Back Shape - Even-Taper
Hardware - Chrome
Bridge - Sunken Floyd Rose with Locking Nut
Pickguard -
Pickups - H1 H3
Switching - 3-Way
Strings - .010-.046 Elixir Strings
Comments - BFTS

It plays like a freaking dream!! I love it and happy to include it as part of my guitar family.

Here is a vid I recorded as part of my NGD. I have been loving the new Satriani release and put together a cover of A Door into Summer. All the guitars (rhythm and lead) are through the Kemper direct. Sorry about the camera angle. I was too lazy to adjust so you get a great shot of my legs for the main melody. The angle is a bit better during the solo section. I didn't play it note for note and decided to just improvise the lead (which you can tell).

Just thought I would share my good day!

Your TAGs are so sick! I really wish I could have a collection like yours someday. My TAG is my #1 guitar, and honestly, I wouldn't mind one bit if I never played any other brand again. The necks just feel amazing. I've thought about selling all of my others... Really love that orange finish, BTW!

Nice collection dude, thats a really cool color on the new one, congrats

Nice! And that is a rockin' collection of TAGs! I bet they would sound spectacular through a Henning Cherry Bomb! :D

Steve

Badass Chad. This is quite an impressive collection you've got going!

There's a line up I wouldn't mind spending some time with! Never had the opportunity to play the TAG stuff.

Great playing and guitars. I see a Cobra in your future.

Very cool guitar, song and playing. But, what's really cool to me is the tone your getting from the Kemper...awesome!

Can you tell a little about the profile used and some of the tweaking?

Thanks for the comments guys. Busy on the road and will reply back in the morning.

Congrats Chad, looks great!!! (sounds great as well).

If these lawyers ever get my Mom's Trust sorted out, I should be getting a nice little bit of cash from it and plan on getting me a new guitar (haven't had a new one in well over 10 years).

I agree with this. I may have had too much of the TAG Kool Aid but I just love his work. Seriously, this guitar just plays like a dream. The Even Taper neck is perfect for my hands. Here is how I have each guitar setup for maximum versatility:

Drop Top- standard E tuning. Super versatile that can do a little of everything and handles high gain amazingly. Tone knob pulls up to split the humbuckers in the middle position
Bulldog- standard E tuning. Another guitar that used to play rock and drop D tuning. Tone knobs pull up to split each humbucker to single coil
Classic (Gilmourish)- standard E. My blues, classic rock, vintage style guitar. VA Boost switch next to volume gives me a kick and tone knob adds bridge in any position
Classic (Sage Green Metallic)- Eb (half step down). Versatile guitar that does everything really well. Use it for drop D (half step). Switch next to volume splits humbucker to give me a SSS configuration and tone knob adds bridge in any position
Pro Am- Eb (half step down). Straight up rocker with no humbucker splits

Thanks guys! The Cobra is a killer model but I think I would be more interested in a Classic T. The cover band I joined plays some Eagles tunes and it would be cool to get that twang they need.

Thanks! I am using The Amp Factory's Marshall 1987x profile. It is killer! I used the "Vintage" with a Green Scream boost profile for the rhythm and the "Lead" profile for the lead. It has been my go to tone for a few weeks.
