A few months ago around thanksgiving I was fumbling through Craigslist and about 700 miles away was a PRS top ten from 1993. Just looks enticed me. Traded two guitars that I do and have not used and glad to get rid of… here is my 2023 acquisition. Finally the pony express arrived.

Thanks for sharing your NGD! What/where are the "purple birds?" Sorry, not very familiar with PRS, so not sure if that means something else.

They're there of course but not purple sis.

Didn't know they had to be purple. Is it just this model or something?

I didn't see the comma, haha. I guess maybe this guitar started it's life out purple, and maybe had left handed use at some point?

Ha!

Can't for the life of me see this mysterious comma. You be trippin' sis?

In the fourth picture says Custom, Purple, Birds, Ten Top W/T Neck. I thought it said Custom, Purple birds at first. Had to zoom in on the picture to see the comma. Maybe I am tripping though. The left handed part is the way the nut is cut in case you were wondering if I fully went off my rocker. :ROFLMAO:

the birds are not purple; best I can tell. But the guitar is finished with a purple I guess under certain light conditions it should that part of the light spectrum. I personally have trouble with blue green and purple. Thanks to genetics. Guitar plays nice. This weekend I’ll fire it up on the rig.

Ahh... gotya sis. Didn't look at the 4th pic. Thought you were talking about the text in the OP.

As @BeZo said:

I came here to look at a guitar, not read paper!

I believe the purple was known to fade, like in the EBMM EVHs, leaving it really washed out with age and exposure to sunlight; whether you like that or not is up to you?

I guess like a nice patina. Wood grain is nice for me. The key will be in how it plays. Long time ago I gave up on pretty looks.

Congrats! Looks very nice...I bet the tone is monstrous.

Thus starts the all encompassing 'purple bird conspiracy'.....story at 11....it does indeed say purple....inquiring minds need to know how to solve this mystery....yes it's a slow Saturday morning.....carry on

The wheels are spinning. "Are you sure this isn't a fake? I'm not seeing purple birds" on every PRS NGD from this moment on. :ROFLMAO:
