I wish I had some for ya. I haven't heard anything new that was good in ages. I do know Warbringer has a new album out just released and I'm gonna go buy it now actually now that I remember. Just listened to this now for the first time and I love it. I love how they started out as retro thrash but they've evolved into their own style.

Yeah, I’ve been loving this new Warbringer album.

Sorry to hijack...But on the new bands front: Do you guys "get" Sleep Token? I keep trying them out because everyone seems to rave about how great they are...But I just can't seem to grasp the genius (yet). Thoughts?

I actually checked them out yesterday after a chick I know told me she went to buy tickets and they were sold out.. it’s not the worst thing I’ve heard, I actually liked the cleaner stuff more than the kind of recycled meshuggah riffs, I guess I can understand the appeal, probably nothing I’m gonna be really into though

If you go at it thinking they are "metal" you will be disappointed. They are more of an ethereal dreamscape with metal parts intended to be jarring. Really, they are more of a pop group, with clean vocals and catchy music.

That said, they have some good grooves and intricate musicianship and write some good songs. They guy's voice is great, and he does well with it. Having seen them live (Sonic Temple), I can say they are heavier than they seem and put on a great show.

I feel like they are the "Deftones" of the next generation, in that every dude that likes that band does so because some chick turned them on to them. Every chick I dated in high school loved Chino. Now it's all about Vessel.

This came out a year ago or so and I really like the album myself.

Jelusick, Follow the Blind man album. Fanstastic guitar player too.

I’m glad a new metal band is big . But fuck I can’t get into it . They just put all this modern pop shit into barely metal . Heavy riffs buried by pop synths . With modern pop vocals .
I just cant . I’ve tried .

FFO: Weird or proggy 80s Power Metal like Slauter Xstroyes, Solar Eagle, Fates Warning, etc.

Check out WackenTV on Youtube. I only discovered them recently. Wacken Open Air is a huge metal festival in Germany. They upload clips of the concerts every Tuesday and Friday. You usually will get clips of three songs. Every type of metal you could possibly want and more you probably didn't know existed.

I discovered that I'm a huge fan of Power Metal, some bands I liked:

- Angus McSix- The band dresses up as characters and have songs about them and their adventures. Great high-energy music, fun band, and one of the guitarists, Thalìa Bellazecca is good and I could watch her play all day.
- Rage- One of the big four of German Power Metal bands. Great band, tons of material. Metallica has 11 studio albums starting in 1983, Rage 26 starting in 1985.
- Powerwolf- Another German power metal band, their material is dark fantasy themed. You have to check out Resurrection by Erection.
- Orden Ogan- Another German power metal band, the singer is the skull faced guitarist in Angus McSix.

- Skindred- Neat British band.

- While I didn't discover them on the channel. Sabaton is another awesome power metal band.

You'll find something you like there.
