Hey all,
Newbie here. Been a long time observer but after building up my stable of gear I'd like to become more involved in the forum. I'm looking to add another high gain amp (or two) to my collection. I currently have a Mesa Mark 5:35 with the horizontal 2x12 with v30s in it. My other amp is a Two Rock Studio Signature for the cleaner stuff. Budget is fairly wide open based on the amps on the list. I've narrowed it down to about 4/5 amps and could use some insights on anyone's experience on these to provide me with their recommendation for a top 2/3 out of the list. Ideally looking to pick up a couple of these over the course of the year that are different enough to justify having both.
Genres I'm looking to cover are 80's (hard rock & hair metal), thrash, shred, up to as heavy as Death, Lamb of God, Pantera etc.
1) Friedman BE DLX (50 or 100)
2) KSR Ares / Orthos MKII
3) Monomyth Skeleton Key
4) Wizard (MCII or MTL MK2)
5) Soldano / Mezzabarba
Thanks everybody and excited to be a part of the community!
