New instrumental

More blatant animal abuse.
Guys that choke their chickens.
When will the tragedy end??

Dear Mr. Savage,

You appear to be a living contradiction - a genuine enigma. On the one hand, this instrumental tune, quote unquote, is titled, "The best is yet to come", and on the other hand, you are worried that you will be able to top this tune. I simply do not understand how these two factoids can both stand. What am I missing?

As an aside, when I clicked on the link to the tune (quote unquote), it automatically played in my preferred app, which was set to play the audio file backwards for some reason. Played in that way, your tune is actually very close to the studio version of VH's "Panama". Was that by design, or is it merely a coincidence?

This seeming contradiction is easy to explain. "The best is yet to come" is the title of the instrumental. At the moment of reading the title, you have not yet listened to the tune which means the listening occurs afterwards, thus, the best part is yet to come.

I hope this clears up any confusion.

Any similarities between this and any other music is due to others stealing my riffs. I was unaware that this was the case but am not surprised. This piece will be used as an inspiration to musicians for centuries to come.

The notes and phrasing....so complex, you sir are the Phillip Glass of your generation. I would, however, like to hear a dubstep version if this too. I would recommend deadmau5, that Portnoy guy is soooo overrated.

I have been holding back on this one trying to slowly take it all in... but ya it is time to go forth with my thoughts.

Bob, I can definitely hear a "Paisley" influence woven in a true "tapestry like" manner through out the song...

It's so real that you can almost re-tolex your amp with it...

It's not necessarily a 'bad thing" but it is very prominent and kind of jumps out at you unexpectedly at times.

I too felt that Prince vibe.
Bet Bob was wearing stilleto boots and assless
Jeans when he recorded that. (well that's whàt I hear)

I heard the assless jeans too. This consistency means that Bob has painted the sonic canvas in such a way as to lead our ears to the same place. You don't listen to art haphazardly. There is no free will in this case. You hear what Bob wanted you to hear, no more, no less. I heard backwards Panama.

You guys are good. That's exactly what I was wearing, in fact, it's all I was wearing.

I'm going with a big ol' MISSION ACCOMPLISHED here. My intent was portrayed very clearly.

It was how the tone of some of the notes was a little soft then went sharp that I knew assless jeans were worn. The sound coming down the pants then hitting his bare buttocks
Pure recording genius. To the untrained ear it simply sounds good
You got to feel the assless chaps when you listen.
At that moment it's pure zen.

Bob, the heel on the stilleto boots...
Maple? Finished or unfinished?

The low end sounds undressed. I would use the term "naked", but that is too crass to describe what Bob has done.
