All the new features (except 3G and GPS) will be available on the old iPhone too tho....can't believe they made the new one thinner tho' ... the old one is hard enough to hold on to as it is. I bought a chunky case for mine just because of this!
It's a sweet deal with the 'improved' battery life though (although those #s will be garbage same as they always are with those estimates

How much better is the battery life? 3G network drains the battery faster, doesn't it? Might be a wash on battery life vs the 'old' version.
I might upgrade, I dig mine. Used it at the pawnshops a few times when I saw a piece of gear I wasn't sure of the value - went to ebay, looked it up.
I use the internet part and check email a lot more than I use it as a phone.

3G battery life is comparable to the old phone...2G is improved.
My iPhone has saved me tons of times on the road when I've needed to look stuff up or use maps etc.
