I remember those guys from kickstarter I believe. They're right down the road from me in Ft. Worth. The pedal sounds pretty damn good!

Sounds good but way too much gain for the amp it is replicating. The AC / DC gain is rolled way back and still it is too gainy. It has more gain on tap than any JCM800 I have or have heard. They should have made the sweep more gradual. Good sounding pedal though, just doesn't quite have the string definition that a real amp will have.

Pretty gainy but it said at the 20 second mark on the screen that the pedal is aiming the replicate the cranked/modded Marshall sound so I don't think they were going for the stock 800. But yes wayyy too much gain for ACDC stuff Sounds alright but I'd rather try out a Bogner Blue pedal and that pedal from overseas the Rezamatic was trying unsuccessfully to get imported back last fall sounded way better I think...can't remember the name to search youtube?

Correct. It is going after the modded JCM sound. Not the stock JTM or Plexi. The player chose the riffs to show versatility and context of the sound.

Yeah, I agree that huge ass pedal from overseas with a couple of tubes in it sounds better... for a reason. It's a straight up tube preamp in a pedal and costs $325 plus overseas shipping and duties. It sounds badass though! I wish we could get the builder to ship those bad boys over or find a US dealer who can also handle the repairs.

That Fredamp stuff sounds killer but very expensive.
