I just got my Randall modules back from Rob @ Jaded Faith this afternoon. The Recto was converted to a JFX (Peavey JSX) and Clean to a Wrecked (Trainwreck Liverpool). Holy shit these things sound awesome.
I don't know how Rob did it. The Wrecked module really responds to your playing and/or guitar volume. Clean up the grit with a slight rollback of the volume knob. Bring out some real crunch with the volume up and and hard playing. The volume & master work really well together to get just the right amount of saturation or a near pristine clean. Or go for broke, dime everything and get some really nice classic rock crunch. The only thing I can't comment too well on is how close it sounds to a real Trainwreck since I never played one. No matter anyway. The module sounds great and was exactly what I was wanting.
For the JFX I had originally asked if he could do something based off the Peavey Triple X. Rob said the Triple X circuit wouldn't fully translate to a module. Even though it's not listed on the website I saw on one of the old facebook posts that he did a mod based on a JSX. That would work for me since part of the JSX is based off the Triple X. So I asked him if he could still do that one and he said yes. It's been at least 2 decades since the last time I played a real JSX or XXX so I don't remember the exact tone. The module definitely brings back the memories and nostalgia of playing one. Especially the amount of gain available. I remember it didn't take much on the real amp to start hitting brutal distortion and the module is the same way. I for sure think the module sounds better than the JSX sim on my Peavey Vypyr tube; it kinda puts it to shame actually. Rob left the black Randall knobs on it, but I had some very similar to the ones on the actual amp. So I put those on to fully complete the look.
As an added bonus I finished covering the custom housing I made for my Synergy SYN2 so it matches the Randall amp I recovered.
