It's a 2021 Classic Ebony. This one has all the appointments I was looking for. 60's neck, chrome hardware with Grovers, Zebra pickups, ultra dark fretboard. I love the Ebony gloss with the Cream plastics. I was planning to swap it all out for black, but decided I really like the contrast.

It weighs in at 9lbs, which (to me) feels very solid. Only an ounce or two heavier than my R7. The fretboard is almost black, like ebony. It plays like butter.

The only thing I didn't like at all was the electronics. It had a PCB with many push-pull options, which I never use. Also came with 61 Lead & Rhythm pickups...yuck. Those things are so thin and spikey and harsh. Did this guitar no justice. Couldn't tear it all out out fast enough!

I installed a Tone Man pre-wired harness and Tonerider Generator alnico V pickups. Now it sounds fat and powerful. Just what it needed...big time!

Nice, congrats! Love the look of black LPs! What's that behind it, a cab or an old JMP?
