So this is an original Naylor (I guess they got bought at some point) Super Drive that my guitar instructor brought over. Friggin' rock machine! Very Marshall-esque.

He worked for Friedman apparently years ago and Dave did what he THINKS is called the Michael Thompson mod which added a separate volume for a clean channel and a bright switch.

He told me to hang on to it for a few weeks.. so I will! Clips to follow.

Hell yes.
Any clip I have heard by someone with chops
really make this amp high on my want list.

I do know that fellow session ace Tim Pierce uses the SD60 a lot, so it makes sense that MT would use it too.

Cool, always wanted to try one of those. Looking forward to some clips!

Nice! Killer amp. Both Tim Pearce and Michael Thompson have used the SD60 to great effect over the years. I'd love to play through one.

Yeah I can not wait to really wind it up this weekend.

I have one of these that definitely rocks. I am looking for another for a spare. If anyone comes across one please let me know and thanks!

I've got zero response from the new Naylor company out of TX. VM and emailed via their website. Wonder if he's on vacation or if they're still up and running.

Nice! I have one of these I'm sending in for cap change and mods next week! Mine personally doesn't sound very good, but it's been neglected a long time and I have faith it'll come back a fire-breather. I'm hoping to do some never-done-before stuff to update it a bit with modern tones in mind.

@MetalHeadMike Either give David some more time to reply or send an email to info@naylorengineering.com as there is a sort of typo "enginering" version that I've noticed pop up in email threads. The first time I couldn't reach him via the webform or email and I was getting pissed since I had no place to turn and my amp wasn't sounding great / like in clips. But he's been super helpful, patient in replies, and pretty prompt since I did manage to get in touch with him.

Bought one used in 98.Nobody knew what it was. Still got it. Been around for decades, was one of the first boutique amps and they were 1500 .

Danny Russell is the creator/ designed naylor amps with Joe Naylor. Naylor`s name Danny`s amp.

Technically what makes this amp different than a Marshall

Naylor is one of those I never got to play or even hear in person.
Based on the previous question, are these mostly Marshall based?

I’ve got a Duel 100 on the way.
