Would I be a total A hole if I said no?

No. It's cool. The best thing I did was to move the handle so it's balanced when you carry it.

I only had enough left after doing my Ultra Lead to do the top and bottom.

Handle mod should be standard on all amps. Makes so much more sense to carry a balanced amp.

Kinda neat, but I'd prefer a solid white tolex headshell personally. That'd be kick ass.

The smart thing to do is when designing an amp, place the trannys accordingly so the amp is balanced with the handle in the center.

I'm guessing it has more to do with design simplicity, and/or reducing the length of leads/etc. Every "boutique" type amp I've own was a lop sided monster with all the trannies on one side. Either way I don't care, but I wish they would either center the weight or offset the handle. I moved the handle on my Ultra Lead as well, and it was THE best thing I've ever done to either amp.

Guess thats why Wizard amps have routed elongated holes in the sides for handles in the headshells.
Grab ya two big handfuls .

...by the way,how did you change the while face plate to black?

This

I like what you did with the tolex. The handle would take some getting used to, but it is definitely practical.

It came that way. I guess it was an option at one time? I'm the second owner, so I'm only guessing.

Yeah it looks kinda boinked, but I'm more of a function over looks type of person.
