I had it up for sale briefly because I just couldn't get the tone I wanted out of it .
I bought it after having a VH2 which I loved BTW . I thought this would be more of a good thing ,you know 4 channels instead of 2 .
I knew the 1st channel was different but I thought I could find the same tone I had on channel 2 of the VH2 somewhere on channel 3 of the VH4. well It wasn't happening .
Then I ask Peter for the schematic to do the decompression mod and There it was . The tone I had been looking for as well as a very much improved and usuable channel 4.
I know the decomp mod is old news but I just thought I would share what a difference it made for me.

Also if you own any amp and are looking for a good midi switcher I would recommend the Tech 21 midi mongoose . Bought one just to change channels on the Vh4 ( i was tired of fighting my fractal for channel changes) and it works like a charm.

Tell us more about the the decompression mod! :)
Yes please
Didn't know about this, but I did move the NFB wire around on my VH4 to open it up a bit. Worked like a charm  .
Now I'm curious if this "decompression mod" works in the NFB loop as well

Put a Mesa 5 band EQ pedal in the serial loop. Thank me later.

just email peter and he will send you the mod.
you just change out one 33k resistor to a 68k and your good to go.
Also he doesn't send you a schematic he sends a pic with the resistor you change circled. It makes it easy for those who may not be able to read the schematic.
