New Lynch mob Song and smoked solo from Lynch !!!!

You'd be hard pressed to find a bigger fan of Lynch than I was back in the day, but I honestly didn't like that song.

Cheesy lyrics and vocal, way too long, the solo was ridiculously out front, and it seemed out of context for the song; George can still play, but I haven't enjoyed the songwriting since the first two Lynch Mob albums.

He can take any direction he'd like, but it sounds like he's trying to appeal to his old fan base; if that's the case, he's missing the mark, in my case.

Good for him for still getting out there, but I just don't hear any fire these days.

I agree, but I will still pick up a copy of it!!

I really liked the solo! The guitar sounds very upfront and alive.

Sounds good... the new stuff coming out with Michael sweet also sounds very good.

Sun red sun?
Wasn't that Ray Gillens band name after he was out of Badlands?
Or was it one of Rays song titles?

Also, the Lynch Mob song "Sun Red Sun" on the new record is a tribute to Ray Gillen. Wasn't Gillen on the Lynch Mob demo tapes? Or is it Glenn Hughes I'm thinking of?

I don't like it. If given the opportunity, I'd shit on the CD.

Wasn't horrible, but the vocals and song structure reminded me of some of the newer Geoff Tate / Queensryche songs that you forget 10 seconds after listening to it.

Ray Gillen sang on one or maybe two songs on sacred groove .

I didn't care for the song but I liked the solo. Was outside enough while sounding in control. I like solo's that sound like they could go off the rails but don't quite. PLus I dug the tone he had on it. The rhythm guitars were a little fuzzy for me.

Man, The KXM song Faith Is a Room, on that same page, sounded killer.

Flesh and Blood was great. Hell that whole album was really good.

Best song on the disc imo.

I thought it was pretty good. Thought the mix could have been better (vocals and lead to far out front) and didn't like the drum beat during the verses. But over all think it would grow on me.
