New Marshall DSL's are on the way

Why does Marshall keep making the low-watt DSL heads without the green crunch mode? IMHO that's the best setting of the larger DSLs. Why not put it on the little heads?

Still surprised at no DSL40 head.

And I gotta agree the green crunch mode is awesome, should be on every DSL regardless of wattage.

Maybe to keep it less complicated in the smaller box? That seems logical to me. But then, Id be happy with having green crunch, and no red!

And, I don't understand the fuss of a DSL40 head. The 100 watt has a half power switch!

I look forward to hearing the 20. It's right up my alley

I will buy the 1w. I used to have the UK made 1w that they made in limited numbers and it was a great sounding little amp.

Yeah, IMHO it just needs the green crunch. I found the red channel unusable, but maybe I'm in the minority.

Just hope it doesn't have ~250V plate voltage like the 2525 you had. In that case you'd be better off with the 6V6 powered 15-watter...

It doesn't have an effects loop, or I woulda tried it.

I didn't just go through a hurricane like you did, so I am sure my perspective is different. Hope you get things back in order soon, dog gone hurricanes.

Anyway, On the older DSL100H, the power switch was a pentode/triode mode. In general I am not a fan of triode mode, would rather see 2 tubes not used to get lower power.

Also, I see a big hole between the DSL20 and DSL100 if one wants a head. The DSL20 is too underpowered, and the DSL100 is too large, bulky, and expensive to retube.

All that said, I am most interested in the 1watt head.

Thanks man.. With that said, the JCM2000 DSL50 is probably my all-time fave! Boosted crunch is the shit!

The Marshall DSL 20 sounds intriguing. Will wait to see what it sounds like though.

Any clips out there yet?
