I think his demo videos are excellent so we'll agree ti disagree.
Excellent in production skills? Yes, definitely. Multiple video angles, high quality audio, etc.

But to hear what the amp itself sounds like and what the particular amp's personal character is? Nah...not with djenty 7-string flub (and/or a Maxon 808 in front of it). If I were to demo a Marshall-style amp, I'd be sure to cater to the 80's hair/speed/thrash crowd too, instead of 'showcasing' my own band through pretty much every demo I do.
Good demo's are there to showcase what the AMP is about, not to sell Feared CD's. :checkthisout:

I was impressed
with the backdrop
what is that, a castle?
lovely carpet, also
it really sets off the purple burst

not bad, but aside from the last few seconds of "dry demo" im not sure what we were listening to. I still like the amp's general premise.. Mesa really has yet to let me down on almost any level, so im pretty sure it will be good.

Now, I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I'm betting this amp sounds like a mark v. Videos like this are just that: videos. It's not a demo, say, like Andy Timmons did with the mini mark. Not that there's anything wrong with a super produced video featuring a full backing track, but as far as demos go, it's about as useful as the "clips" on the dimarzio site.

that was queer as fuck ... That don't make me want to buy an amp.

Funny how one of Mesa's best "demo" videos was made when they weren't really trying to. That Mark V:25 play-through Petrucci did was great. That video, IMO, launched that amp.

I can't believe how bad these demo videos are for this amp. The guitar tone is poor on both, and this latest one definitely hits the wrong genre of music. At this point I'd rather hear a guy playing riffs from Master of Puppets in his living room, recorded with an iPhone.
