It looks sort of like the MKV but it has that weird space in between ch.2 and ch.3. Not to mention the grill & logo but that could just be custom shop shit.

I think that might be what Stephen Sawall was talking about in the Mk VII thread; the few Mark VI that were made, and went to selected artists?
Just a guess.

I can’t tell what that ampeg is either
Yeah that and the amp above it. Maybe a Ceriatone? Those fuckers have quite a collection.

It crossed my mind but I still think he was joking around. Maybe he wasn't after all.

It definitely looks like a custom/one off

That second Marshall on his left looks like a Cameron
Agreed on the Cameron Marshall. The Ampeg looks like the ones Lee Jackson designed. Forgot what they are called? VL maybe?
The Metaltronix is funny. Had one. Not great. I’m sure all these amps have been gone through and “worked on”.

Yeah, the Ampeg VL and Metaltronix are not the best IME. Pretty 'buzzy' sounding. Lee Jackson modded Marshalls were much better.

That Mesa amp the OP is talking about looks like the one I think 4 years ago people were speculating was his sig amp in a photo from the studio”I can’t find the photo right now”. Not the stiletto looking one from the Giants game. I’m pretty sure it was a 1 off.

Maybe it is s proto type . But it has same knobs and front of a mark v . So maybe they used that body to start his amp . Just a guess idk

A few years ago, when it was still open, I was talking to the guys at Mesa Hollywood. My buddy and I would visit a couple times a year and would always talk shop with them. They wouldn't confirm but they were hinting that there was a signature mesa mark that was going to be released with Hetfield. I was surprised when, a couple years later, the JP2C was released. Maybe this is a prototype of some Hetfield related sig that never saw the light of day?

Someday those amps will sell for millions. Think about what crunchberries would fetch at auction alone.

What about the amp Hatfield calls “the best amp in the world” in the Some Kind Of Monster documentary?
It has Dumble-like adjuster knobs.
They show it for 2 actual seconds.

-The part where Lar’s sits down with Dave Mustaine and Mustaine mows him down is priceless.
Too bad Hetfield wasn’t there right?
Mustaine would have wrecked him proper.

I think Lars was doing his best not to laugh at a grown ass 40 year old tough metal man literally crying about being booted out of a band 20 years ago when they were all just kids, and after a huge 20 year career of his own. He should never have agreed to let that scene stay in the movie. The big mouth, tough talking, shit slinging Dave wrecked himself there. Never been able to take him seriously after that.
