I guess I'm late to the party on these. I may need to get that 5-band EQ one.

Horrible demo...it's as bad as this 'specialist' playing through a new Digitech pedal with the cab sims turned off.

Oh MY! Silly hipster, what an idiot! And he calls himself a specialist.

I don't care much about the Mesa video demo as I know an EQ in a loop is effective. BUT, $250????? I may pass at that price since MXR EQ's do work great.

A pedal that makes your tube amp sound like solid state for a mere $250, where do I preorder?

Only if you scoop the mids to much.

never understood why mesa never put those on a rec like the mark series.

In the Marks, the EQ is before the gain, so it is beneficial to have additional EQ control after the preamp. They are also very mid-heavy amps, so cutting out some of the mids is very useful. Rectos don't really need additional EQ capability so much.

Yeah, the Mark series amps without the onboard EQ would benefit a lot from these pedals. A Recto.....not soo much. For a simple volume boost for leads a Boss 7-band EQ is fine.
