What I mostly gathered from the video is that I don't like modern metal riffs.

Not all modern metal sounds like that.

SPAM: Super Processed Artificial Meat
Ate that shit for the first time a few months back, and it tasted like what I imagine a can of dog food would taste like.

I just spend four hours with the amp using my Les Paul with JB.... Into a recto 2x12 cab. I checked out the entire range of what it can do.
What do you want to know about it ???

I'm guessing A Sharp has one?

What is its entire range? Handle medium to low gain well?

Lead tones? Harsh? Compressed? Sound like a mark series? Sound like a recto? Good headroom, even with just 50.watts?

Or just, what's your initial impression?

Yes..... You should have been there. Always good to have a extra set of ears.

Much easier to dial in and to get to know than most Mesa amps. I thought it sounded great and would have zero problems doing a gig with it. It has that upper midrange punch you expect from a 50 watt EL34 amp with some juice on the plates. Punchy and aggressive.

This is a completely new voice for Mesa. I had no problem dialing in any range of gain. The lead channel is fairly compressed. Rhythm channel being a bit more dynamic and not as midrange heavy.

The cleans sounded great to me.... Better than I expected. In the Mesa Mark / Fender family of sounds. I had no problem getting plenty of headroom.
The rhythm channel got pretty highgain.... But much less than the lead channel.
The dynamics were pretty good in this channel. I am accustom to using Fryette often. Most amps just do not have the dynamic range. I could not get it down to clean with highgain with the guitar volume.... But got some good blues tones.
It is a crunch channel. But is not voiced like a Plexi or 800. With the tight switch on I could get it closer to that sound. But it is more saturated and compressed like many Mesa amps. Ît is darker ..... I see the plexi as a fairly bright amp. You could get similar.... But the feel and tone was always different. You could get a modified English crunch sound no problem.
I could see why they say the lead channel is a mix of Rectifer and Mark. It certainly has that easy to play lead feel the Marks have. With the tight switch on it almost reminded me of a boosted Rectifer. The overall sound is smoother.... But still hairy. Below about 1 o'clock on the gain the sound stayed pretty focused. Above that it got more of a Rectifer highs.

Easy to get scooped or midrange heavy sounds from any channel.

Keep in mind everyone I only spent a few hours with the amp. I feel most amps take several days or more to really get to know. This amp was easy to learn.... But take what I say within the context of my experince. I don't think I know it enough for a full review.

Fluff's demo of the TC-50!

Wow...Glowing review and the amp sounds amazing it that demo. Seems to combine all the best qualities of what we like about various Mesa amps. I may be $1,700 poorer soon.

Can't say I was too impressed with the tones in that vid. But, its a video so.... I'll have to sit down with one and see.

The Sweetwater review sounds great! I love how this amp sounds. I would want a combo for sure. Unfortunately, my ElectraDyne combo gives me everything I want and the Henning Bottle Rocket is the only head/cab combo I need. Maybe someday. In the meantime, I hope this one is super successful as it seems a lot of cool Mesa Boogie amps have come and gone quick in recent years.

I am completely impressed with the gain sounds starting around 1:32. Processed and in a mix, I know, but sounded killer to my ears.

I'm kinda curious to see what one sounds like loaded up with 6V6's.

"Our focus for the Triple Crown TC-50 was to deliver an amplifier aimed at Rock of all eras that was clearly from an opposing face of Mesa and decidedly non-Mark Series...a brand new design that would stand alongside our Mark Five flagship in terms of performance and versatility. If you’re a fan of the work we do at Mesa, yet the Mark sound wasn’t for you, or maybe you strayed from a Dual Rectifier in search of a new voice, you’ve got to check out the Triple Crown! Get ready for a gut-punching attack with tighter, more controlled low end than the Rectifiers and a bold new Lead voice that stands distinctly on its own in our line. We feel players of all genres, including our MARK and Recto Fans, will find something to love in this new model along with those who are looking for a Mesa more suited to their style...a Mesa for those who grew up playing amplifiers that could not trace their sonic roots back to California. Add the ability to go between the opposing response of EL34s and 6V6s with plug and play ease, 6L6s with a swap and a switch, modern features, midi accessibility, and all possible format options to build your rig and we feel we’ve accomplished something long imagined by us here with the new Triple Crown,” said Doug West, Director of Marketing at Mesa/Boogie.
