NEW MGL "Lead Master Series" single channel amp line now available to order. First builds will start shortly after the new year. These are being built on our new chassis that pays tribute to the classic Marshall 2204. Amps are available in 2 power sections, 50w w/ a pair of EL34's or 20w with a pair of 6V6 power tubes. You can choose one of our 3 circuits offered: "1981-2204", modded 2204 "Purple Circuit" or higher gain "Red Circuit". Straight ahead single channel amps with some nice features. Front panel has 2 mini switches. First one is a 2 position gain level, 2nd switch is a 3-way bright switch. Back panel: "Zero Loss" effects loop w/ tru bypass switch, switch for diode clipping Saturation circuit and the 2 position voicing switch that comes on all of our amps. Amps come stock in a custom Swanson Cabinets 26" late '70's JMP style head cab. Always a cool look but not everyone wants the 29" 100w size cab so Jeff and I worked out the dimensions to do one in 26". I've never seen any other cab builder offer one. 24" or 26" Plexi style cabs also available. And many colors of tolex to choose from at NO up-charge! ( I can't believe how many builder builders charge $200.00 for a customer color, that's Bullshit, it all costs the same!!) Real Marshall tolex of any kind is the only legit up-charge, as it is more expensive. Here's the amp in the 26" JMP cab in purple, black & red elephant tolex.

Good timing! I was going to call and ask about a single-channel JMP amp. Those are the amps I grew up with. Had one as soon as they came out, '75/76. Had 50 and mostly 100 watters.
I'm sure they were 6550 loaded.

Cool, classic amps! Some customers still like the simplicity of a single channel but would at least like an FX loop. These will be great for that. Standard version will be with the lower voltage power transformer at around 400v. And there will be an option to use our 100w power transformer like we do in the 2-channel MGL50. That will have around 450v plate voltage like the later 2204's that are more aggressive sounding. With an adjustment in the bias circuit, we could easily do 6550's also.
