My old 90’s Johnson J-Station sounds better than this
Yes. Literally every Sweetwater demo I have watched looks great and sounds crap. I’ve upset a few manufacturers saying as much openly.gtr31":24j3h7vz said:The Helix has some good models ,honestly there was one guy comparing against his Freidman and they sounded similar
Sweetwater is a huge offender for bad tone IMO
also the Cab IR's make a big difference , what your hearing here is factory presets , spend some time with one and dial it in , its decent for recording and late night jamming and super convenient
The Mooer unit looks cool. Love my HX as well. Looking forward to my KSR Gemini getting here Friday so I can finally hook the HX up to an amp with MIDI.shred-o-holic":1ikm6kcc said:I'm sure it's cool but I'm not dumping my HX for a massive loss (I haven't even had it a year) and I also prefer the button setup much more on the HX. Not a fan of having to hold 2 things down at once to switch or save patches. Would of been nice to know about it before I ordered the Mooer Preamp Live. However I'm happy with the Mooer so maybe another time on the Stomp or maybe a used LT down the road.

Correct. 1/4” to XLR. Easy peasy.boyedav":2jfcvgy9 said:The outputs are balanced, they're just 1/4" TRS instead of XLR.

I have. It's pretty damn great BUT... I have not had a chance to crank it and see how it does at gig volume. Have rehearsal this Saturday so that's when I will be able to really evaluate.Kevin11":3i2hmyw5 said:JerEvil":3i2hmyw5 said:I just got the PowerCab+. Talk about “grab and go”!
Have you run the PowerCab yet or is it on the way? I have one coming to run with my Helix. Hoping it might be a quicker grab-and-go alternative to my normal rig. Been using the Helix for fx only up to now so I'm looking forward to digging in to it a bit more and playing with some of the amp models.

Should be getting one in the end of next week. I’m pretty stoked as I just got the PowerCab+. Talk about “grab and go”!

I don't know dude. I wouldn't call that easy peezy. You either have to drop the money for a balanced 1/4" to XLR , OR HOPE that the sound guy has one. Those cables aren't cheap. The other option would be to bring a DI box , which completely defeats the purpose of having the outs TRS. When I saw this product announcement , I was all over it. Without the XLR outs , it turned me off immediately. Just my opinion of course
Yeah I suppose the $10 doesn’t bother me too much for the convenience of size and application but I too wish it had XLR.Norton666":1w3iymit said:JerEvil":1w3iymit said:Correct. 1/4” to XLR. Easy peasy.boyedav":1w3iymit said:The outputs are balanced, they're just 1/4" TRS instead of XLR.

Folks seem to be gigging it just fine but I see why it could be a detractor. I’d be using with the PowerCab so a double non-issue in my particular use case, but yes adding another step for the user is. It ideal.
LOL! Yeah it sounds righteous! Wasn't sure what to expect not being able to try it before purchase but man it slays.shred-o-holic":2d4yq622 said:JerEvil":2d4yq622 said:Yeah I suppose the $10 doesn’t bother me too much for the convenience of size and application but I too wish it had XLR.Norton666":2d4yq622 said:JerEvil":2d4yq622 said:Correct. 1/4” to XLR.
