Some of you recording guys may think this is interesting :D
Bought some new monitors for my home studio. Went with the Focal Twins. Sweetwater had the no interest for 24 months deal going so I couldn't resist. Anyway, I've been using Adam A7s for 5 years and I liked them but I could never get the low end to translate without alot of guessing. THE GUESSING SUCKED. The A7s are a bit light in the bass freqs. So enter the Focals. Woah! No more guessing. What I hear in my control room is EXACTLY what I hear on my vehicle system. Best part is dialing in the low end. So accurate.

So I did a quick boring clip of the VH4, which as many of you know, has TONS of bass on tap. Sounds awesome in person, yet can be hard to capture. The focals allow me to get the bass right up to the point of too much YET not too much. I'm bad at descriptions :aww:

Not the best tone of all time or anything but the lows seems just right.
The first two bars are just the top string. Next two bars are the top 2 strings, and the last 4 bars are the top 3 strings. The last 4 bars sound tits

Great sound man! Very well rounded. Not over bearing in the lows but beefy enough to notice them.

sounds great but I would have to end up cutting more lows to make space for other instruments. Nice tones though, what yr. is your vh4 ? tube array?

Just bought it (used). Sounded good out of the gate and honestly haven't looked, lol.
I do know they are 34s from the ad.
