I just heard the "Saints of Los Angeles" on the radio in the stand up tanning booth fully nude, pretty weak tune I must say.

My guess is that you don't like Crue tunes then because SOLA is as good as anything I've heard them do...

This new stuff doesn't even touch the 1994 album.

Not a Corabi fan... Not really a Crue fan either, but I like some of the older songs and I think SOLA is a good classic sounding Crue song....

Steve

Sorry...but I think the new song is lame. That Carnival of Souls concert that was on TV recently was pretty damn good.

Looks like they can still bring it live...

Not a huge fan of the Crue but it certainly sounds like some of their older material :D

Whoa.....

Did anybody else see that Barzini was nude in a tanning booth browning the weenie....

Wanna see my tan line?

There is none :hys:

Not even a stripe underneath? Do you apply your own bronzer?

+10000 Steve!!!

I liked the Crue back in the day and are a great band live too. This new stuff sounds like they tried to go back to that classic sound which is cool but just isnt that good IMHO. The lyrics are pretty lame also but then again it's Crue so there you go.

Tight band live, except for Vince sounding like he has his nutsack stuck in a vice the whole time.

I thought you were into that sort of thing?

What I think is kind of funny is that back in the 80's, Crue wasn't considered as being "all that" on many fronts...except when it came to drug-induced parties...

Now that they've managed to make a come back, the music industry has diminished enough to where they're the best thing on the radio for the time being...lol

never was a fan of them, i d rather hear Bon Jovi and thats stretchin it..damn but they made some big money then! : )

Not a fan.... never was. never will be, can not stand Vince Neil. HATE his vocals, completely ruins anything Crue could do that I might be interested in.

I work with a HARD CORE Crue fan....I drive him crazy with all the Slayer, Megadeth, L.O.G., Meshuggah, etc....

Not talking trash, just my opinion, I know some of you dont like the shit I listen to, so fair enough.

how can you be a metal fan and NOT dig LoG/MkIV, Mustaine, King/Hanneman?
bet all of the "newer" bands like Bullet for My Valentine, Shadows Fall, Nevermore, Slip, Alterbridge, SoAD are also foreign to him as well?

tooo funny. I've been around way too long to hold anything against any metal band that plays for a living and with a record contract. UP THE IRONS - it's ALL good!

..and I'm diggin' the new CRUE record too!!

I agree... I liked the 1994 (John Corabi) cd ...
I also love Dokken from the day (LYNCH) but Don's voice pisses me off too.

I got the disk yesterday. It sounds fine to me....It is what it is....cock rock.

I saw them on Larry King while flying back from NYC, the clips of the music video I saw sounded pretty cool, relatively "classic" and catchy sounding as far as any new releases I've heard go. I'm thinking of picking it up.

Ok, so I finally picked up a copy of SOLA. What a killer classic Crue disc. The guitar tones are massive! Too bad it's not a real amp. Oh well. Great tunes anyway!
