I gotta say, this thing is pretty amazing. But it's also very intimidating. I can't think of any effect I'd ever want that isn't in it. The navigation is very cool but can get confusing. I work in I.T. so I think I'll eventually figure it out.

I have one and love it. Sound quality is great, not THE best but very good. My FX8 had better sound quality but was a pain to work with.

Great pedal.

I bought one of these on the initial release and already sold it because I have a goddamn flipping problem, and absolutely regret the utility it provided me. It's so, so much better than the old M-series.

I love the flexibility with midi control of my amp and 2 effects on a button. It's probably the best thing i've ever done for my rig.

Nice rig! I'll be diving into the midi programming with my 5150 later today. That should be fun

I set it up with the first 2 or 3 buttons as only amp changing and the back 3 for effects depending on the song.
The snapshots setting hasn't been useful for me yet. :(

Fantastic unit! I've had mine for some time now and it eliminated a lot of pedals and allowed me to use a much smaller board. Sounds fabulous!

I had one but brought it back to Guitar Center because I used the funds towards a guitar. But I want another one. When I had it I compared it directly with an MXR FLanger and a Phase 95 and it was damm damm close to those pedals. I don't think I'd be able to tell if I were blind folded. The tweaking and navigation is super easy, especially compared to Fractal. That Adriatic delay in the HX Effects is INTOXICATING.

I'm loving it so far. And I don't even think I've scratched the surface.

that is a sweet rig you got there...i know you've been experimenting of late...but that is a solid setup.

sold my 5153 50w couple years ago....regret it of course.

HNMED!

I'm not a pedal or effects guy, but I love it in it's simple stomp box mode. 6 great effects and a tuner, very easy to use this way.

I like mine too. I like the simple layout. I kinda wish they had better global controls for output as they only have basically 2 settings I believe but other than that it's plug and play so it's a win.

Yep, I love its versatility. I also love the snapshot mode. In a single patch, I have 4 different modes. Clean, rhythm, lead, and a heavy tone. No lag between the settings at all.

I've had mine for about 8 months and I love it. It's eliminated my pedalboard. I was tired of rebuilding it for gigs where I needed a flanger here, a compressor here, an octave pedal for this gig, etc. Everything I need is there, and the effects sound damn good. Nobody in a club is going to tell the difference in quality. I use the four cable method and run the delays, reverbs, choruses as well as some others through the loop, and the od's, distortions, phase, etc, out of the loop. The interface is also very user-friendly, and its great to be able to download others settings from the Customtones part of their website. I've downloaded a bunch and that really gave me a good starting point. It's really a great unit. I previously had the TC Electronics Nova System. The 4 cable method isn't an option on that which is a shame. They really need to update that, as it really had some great qualities. The HX is much easier to program though, as the TC was a pain in the ass and took a long time to get used to tweaking it.

Kinda want one....How is it compared to the FX8 II?

Yeah, me too. I need an upgrade from the RP1000, and smaller footprint. Channel switching for the amp would be nice as well.

I too have an EVH, so I'm interested to see how OP likes the midi functions.

The midi works great to change the channels. I love the snapshots too.
