New mxr Evh overdrive

I could see myself using this as a "fly gig" rig, easily. You never know what kind of amp you have at the venue (yeah right... as I had that many fly dates LOL :D but anyway, for example the gigs we did in Germany a few years back, this woulda been good there. I did have a Tonebone Bones London there so yeah. What?!)

I've got a Sovereign and it's got more intrinsic mid scoop. I love the way it sounds but I've had problems making it stand out in the mix. I think the Pinnacle does a better job at the EVH sound, just my opinion.
 
Maybe they should have got someone who was halfway decent to demonstrate it too.

Yeah them Victory amps... I'd not known anything about them either before I read a Maiden Three Amigos interview and found Davey used a Victory V100 on Maiden's latest. Which, to me, explained the crappy tone he got on it LOL :D

I thought he played well enough to demo the amp... although his EVH was BAD :D

Yeah them Victory amps... I'd not known anything about them either before I read a Maiden Three Amigos interview and found Davey used a Victory V100 on Maiden's latest. Which, to me, explained the crappy tone he got on it LOL :D

Maiden has a new album? :D Sorry. Maiden purest here! They haven't put out much of anything listenable since Gers joined the band. That's just my humble opinion, of course . Doesn't Govan use victory now?

Play evh or don't, there is no try lol is rather he didn't attempt it. .his straight up rock was good, though.

I remember when I'd first learned Adrian left all those years ago. I knew then exactly how young girls felt when the Beatles broke up. .Adrian has always been a favorite of mine, and a very underrated guitar player
 
Now everyone can get the VH1 sound with a pedal.
 
So has anyone pulled the trigger on one of these yet?
