Just picked up this very clean JCM 2000 DSL. Original owner says it's a 2000.

Just check the Marshall sticker in the back - first 4 numbers are the date of manufacture! Enjoy!

Probably gonna grab another one as a backup soon. They are a great bang for the buck.

Here's how I modded my last one.

I have a 2006 DSL-100 MLB, its a very fine amp. Very pleased.

I had a JCM20000 DSL50 that i regret getting rid of, they are great amps

Nice score. This is a Marshall I would love to get.

I didn't expect to see a JCM2000 when I clicked on an "Old Marshall" thread. :scared:

I guess it's all relative. It's 16 years old. Easily, the oldest piece of gear I have.

Ignore the gain channel, redline the clean, push in the crunch switch and bang a ts in front. Voila.
Great amps! Enjoy it :)

Going to take the chassis out this weekend, surgically clean the shell and roll some preamp tubes. I'm also going to order a Suhr Reactive Load. I have this and a Mark V:25 that I'd love to be able to record silently. Yes, the Mesa has the built in Cab Clone but I'd like to bypass that emulated speaker deal. In a way, I'm hoping I like it better than my Kemper because then, I may sell that and use the money to get another amp.
