New Paul Gilbert / Freddie Nelson record

I haven't heard of Freddie Nelson before, but he's a great colaborator for Paul. Their new record, United States, is really good. Great PG playing, but good singing and good songs!

I really like the record and I don't even think that song is one of the better ones on the record. There is only a little bit of "shredding" on the album but just really good songs with really good vocals. Fred is a local Pittsburgh guy from way back and really nice. You have to hear this guy sing in person to believe it. He will make your jaw drop. Honestly one of the best vocalists I've EVER heard. If you get a chance, there is a video (I think on youtube) of him singing a Queen Medley. Look it up. It's amazing.

I may be wrong, but that doesn't sound like Freddie's voice on this song you linked to. That sounds more like Paul. The high harmonies sound like Fred.

I'm liking Paul's tone on this too. I'm guessing it's those Vintage Modern 1x12 combos.

This is a great album. Last Rock and Roll Star is an awesome opening song!!!!

One of my big gripes with Paul's solo albums has been his singing. This is much better.....

It's been out for several months. Good luck finding it local, best bet is ordering online.
