Just got a new pedal board from Pumaman Pedal Boards.

Kevin, the owner, is such a pleasure to deal with.

Pretty much made to order. His site has some great videos and pics.

Nice board man.

I see you like Boss effects pedals there... ;)

Nice setup.
How do you like the PW pedal tuner? I'm thinking of buying one...

Thanks, just a work in progress.

They seem to do the job.

Here is a better shot of the board.

Pretty cool pedal. Definately worth trying one out to see if it is what you are looking for.

Yeah, I'm considering it. Reviews say the LED circle meter causes some noise (?) Encounter that at all?

I use mine in the mode where the signal just goes to the pedal and nothing to the amps, and yes there is slight noise but not a deal breaker. Just when you are tuning not playing.

I had a Dyna Comp and that was very noisey, back to the store. I also have a Boss 'Echo Plex' Twin Pedal very versatile, but it can sound like a UFO at times, back in the box.

I did not know about that "mode". Is it a secondary input on the pedal or a button type thing? Thanks....

There is a Mute/Bypass select for silent tuning when you step on the pedal versus tuning and hearing it at the same time.Sweep and strobe modes of tuning. True Hard Bypass

Sorry for the confusion, my bad.

I have the same tuner, if you daisy chain your power it will give a loud hum when tunning. Once I got my voodoo pedal power the noise went away. It's a great tuner. The LED's can be kinda hard to see sometimes on bright days if your playing an out door show tough.

I was looking at some of these on the TGP spam forum, they look great.

Nice board and like your rig

Thanks a bunch.

Quite the INTERESTING layout on your board. I looks like each pedal has it's own power source... is that the case or is it on a chain? I would also be interested to hear a description of how you use it, and why you use it in the fashion that it was made.....

OK let start with I am not an expert with any of this so consider yourself warned.

But this is what seems logical based on a number of articles from different sources and what I think would work for me.

I run a two amp rig: a 1979 50 Watt JMP head into an early 80’s 4 x 12 slant with 30 watt speakers (I think, it has been a while since I have seen them) for the dirty and a Rivera era Fender Twin Reverb head into early 80’s 4 x 12 straight with 75 watt speakers for clean sound. I can A-B-Y them.

I play a 1991 Les Paul Classic all original, a 1988 Fender American Standard strat with EMG’s, and a late eighties Warmoth Super Strat, made from northeastern maple for the body, birdseye maple neck with a Brazilian rosewood finger board with a compound radius, loaded with late eighties EMG’s H-X-S configuration, with a Floyd Rose. Think George Lynch’s orange ESP in one of his instructional/studio videos.

The signal chain is as follows: soderless Neutriks jack input to the Planet Waves Tuner, Dunlop 535Q Wah, Boss CS-3 Compressor (this is placed after the wah so the lows do not get lost as much in the mix), Deja Vibe (can’t say enough about this pedal those who have this know what I am talking about), MXR Carbon Copy analog delay, from here it goes to the Morley ABY box.

The “A” output goes to Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor, and within its loop, MXR Phase 90, Boss GE-7 EQ, and a CAE Boost/Line Driver, then out to the Marshall.
The “B” has a Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble to the Fender.

The pedals are powered by Voodoo Labs Power Pedal II that is secured underneath. The Cry Baby, Phase 90, CE-5, Carbon Copy, Morley ABY, and the CAE Boost are all powered independently. The Tuner is daisy chained to the CS-3, and the NS-2 is daisy chained to the GE-7. The Deja Vibe has its own 18 volt power supply. When I get a minute I will power the CAE Boost this way also.

So basic set up:
tuner-wah-comp-vibe-delay [clean or dirty]
A-90-EQ-Boost- Gate [dirty]
B-Chorus[clean]

Everything is wired up with Planet Waves Cable Station solderless pedal board kit.

Hope this helps
Say hi to mom
