I’ve been eying one for my rack I’m building. Sounds great. What’s the clean tone chorus effects sound like?

i was looking at these after someone posted a evh tour vid from 95. is this something i can do with my spx90?

No, they pulled the algorithms right out of the H3000 and did their best to keep that units vibe but in a pedal form. I’ve got an SPX90II and still planned on getting this pedal

Generally speaking the detune in the SPX units is a far more obvious effect due to the technical shortcomings. Glitching and whining when it struggles to keep up, narrow frequency range and big latency. It has tons of mojo and you can hear it a mile away, but the Eventides sound a lot bigger and clearer especially on dirty tones to my ears. With that said, there are dozens upon dozens of rack units from the mid 80s to today that can pull off the general dual detune style of effect, if not the exact tone of a H3000 or similar. It´s mostly a novelty in the pedal world, I guess, where people haven´t been running stereo in the same way.

sounds great!
i love mine. sold my boss delay and chorus pedals after i got it, never looked back.
my only gripe is red LED's on top of a red chassis, makes it hard to see exactly which patch you are on from the floor if you are tall like me. :)

I bought a Luxe used to get this type of tone going after getting on a VH Judgement Day kick. Works pretty well but something like this might be more my speed. Will have to keep an eye out on the used market.

I could see that being an issue. Yeah, it woulda been better to color code those 4 presets different colors maybe?

I'd say the cool features on the Micropitch is the fact You have an output control(12:00 is nominal), which makes it useful for each preset you can tame a hot signal(make it more quiet) or say have more delay and use it as a boost preset and kick it in for lead solos...Also, the Mix control's secondary function is a tone control. Super cool for the cleans because you can make it brighter or more dark by filtering...basically can make those lower/darker leads too, or more cutting bright ones. It's damn cool....

Sounds good! The only reason I own an H9 is for the H3000 micropitch...lol! And I put that shit on everything. haha! Used subtly, it thickens the tone nicely. Works really great when you are the only guitar in the band.
