MURDERATOR
Got all three halfstacks dialed in and working. Budda sd45 into a 1960 lead with 75’s, 6505+ into a mode 4 cab with 30’s, and finally the rectifier running into the avatar with 30’s. All at once…. Playing with my new old rg… plus all my pedals. Pretty fun. What have I learned from this? Budda amps are no fucking joke. That 45 can hang with a 100 watt head. It’s crazy. Crack the volume up and it kicks like a mule. Plus I’m only running the gain on about 1:00 o’ lock and boosting with the wampler or Wayne rat. Fuckin killer…

You should try one of the Superdrive 80s for funsies :devilish:

Years ago, when I was working at Guitar Center, we had an 80 come in used and I hooked it up to a Marshall 4x10. It wasn't even dimed and I about blew the cab up and allllll the snare drums in the drum department were rattling like the whole store was about to fall apart lol That is when my love for Buddas started and I knew I was gonna have to have one some day.

Anyways, those sound like a sweet wall of sound. I'm sure your neighbors love you lol

I’m sure the boosted 6505+ into a mode 4 cab sounds fucking killer on its own. Insane rig man. You gotta get some stereo effects going.

you probably could have done all that with one amp and less complexity.

IMO.

:D
Nonsense! Stereo rigs rule!

We played a lot with these guys out of Maryland in Dog Fashion Disco and Polkadot Cadaver (same core dudes in both bands). Jasan Stepp, the guitarist used a Budda SD80 and an ENGL Powerball in stereo every show. His rig was amazing.

Last time they came to town, they were digital. He switched to the Kemper. It did not sound as good, an I gave him some shit about it. You don't always get honest feedback at a gig, so I understand it's value. We agreed that it was largely the way it was EQed, as he heard it as shrill in his ears as well, and the FOH guy tamed it a bit after a few songs. Hopefully he got it dialed in for the rest of their run.

I'll miss that rig though. The SD80 and Powerball in stereo was amazing.
