Hey guys i want to grab some new pedals for my board but i am having a hard time bonding with allot of things. These are the pedals that i currently own and i'm not parting with.

El capistan
Flint
Koko boost "original" May be replaced by the new friedman boost
dunlop mini wah
mxr 74 custom shop phaser.

The main issue i am having is that my main amp is a friedman smallbox and i always have the bright switch engaged. So i am looking for some cool dirt, preamp, fuzz or anything really that works well with a bright switch. I am not really into chorus or compression. Would love some ideas for some top shelf pedals. I already own a be od and use it for practice through my torpedo live.

Try the Guyatone Mighty Micro (the orange one). Really, really great overdive + distortion + fuzz. You can find them cheap, but they're not cheap pedals. Really great sounding and will work great with any amp. Also try a JHS Moonshine or Angry Charlie. Anyway, why not do it the other way around and set your Smallbox to normal and drive your amp with a Klon KTR or DOD YJM?

Its not about driving the be channel its more about boosting the clean or using a fuzz.

Timmy ODs seem to be more compatible with bright-switch-engaged cleans. But they only have so much gain. They stack well tho (a TS/Klon into a Timmy can be real nice).

Tumnus. Works very well with the Koko too.
Bogner Harlow is another fav. I use a little bit of the the compression, but as a stand alone boost it's great. The Rupert Neve transformer in it is excellent.

I use a Smallbox as my main amp too.

Bogner was a great suggestion, but I'd recommend the Wessex. The Bogner pedals are very warm and will work well with the brightest amps.

I had the wessex and im not sure why i sold it. Was the best overdrive i have ever played.

Another vote for the Wessex. It and a Lovepedal Eternity are the mainstays for me. Lovepedal for that high saturated sizzle drive and the Wessex is warmer and wider sounding.

Although on the recommendations from another thread here, I did just receive an Airis Savage Drive the other day and so far liking it plenty. But I think the Wessex fits your description better.
