New pedalboard

I've been chipping away at this for years! (no joke) Not the actual build but just finding pedals that work well with my amps and then deciding how I wanted to set them up. It all started with that "ultimate guide to pedalboards" issue of Guitar Player back in 2008 Yep, ten years ago..around the time I joined this forum, didn't have kids yet.. wow time flies!

I'm not usually a "big board" kind of player, actually more of a minimalist and that's why it took so long, because I'm content with just a boost and carbon copy but I've always wanted a big board or rack full of effects just for inspiration and fun, looping etc.

Anyway, here she is. Not wired for stereo yet and I'm sure I'll make changes soon enough (add wah/expression pedal and clean up the wiring a bit) but for now I'm having a blast with this setup!!

Very nice! I see that you have the same problem that I have. Several drive pedals and I feel like I need them all!

I did pair mine down a bit recently though. Down to Suhr Koko and Shiba, Cusack V2 Screamer, and a Buxom Boost.
 
Thanks guys! Yep, I have too many drives (more that aren't shown) and I like to use them all in different combinations. I went through the waiting list period for a KOT and just haven't pulled the trigger yet but it's a really great pedal. (got to borrow my buddy's for awhile) If/when I get one it will possibly replace a couple others.

I haven't tried any of the Kingsley pedals yet and know they're really great so that could be a possibility too. Also, I considered the Suhr Koko.

Fek, is the Buxom Boost similar to the Timmy in that it can boost or cut frequencies? I've been curious about that one as well.
 
Looks nice. I am about 95% done with my board. The last 5% is proving to be a little problematic. What kind of cables are those? The purple ones.
 
looks terrific. Are yo running into an already dirty amp or into clean?

The cables are all lava soldered. (Bummer about the recent Rapco buyout - I'm hoping they will still sell the plugs I used because I have to make a few more to go stereo). I wish I would've bought more of the purple ultramafic cable but man, it's expensive..

I'm running mostly into clean amps or clean channels, either a silverface Deluxe Reverb or the clean channel of the Ecstasy Classic or Mark IV. The Jubilee reissue clean channel is nice but it doesn't take overdrives well at all. I like plugging straight into that amp. With clean amps I'm getting my main rhythm dirt with the Boss, Eternity or Direct Drive and the heavier stuff from the Bogner Red. It's funny but when I'm playing my Ecstasy I sometimes compare the Red with the Red channel of the real thing. They're closer than I'd like to admit but the pedal is tighter and meaner in voicing while the amp is a tad "softer" in attack but it just roars more at high volume. This board doesn't really make sense into a dirty amp right now. I'd have to use the ES-8's volume loop/4CM to get the time based stuff in the loop. I'd like to try that eventually.

It's all overkill for me on most days but when I'm in the mood to use the looper and just tweak pedals for different tones it's a blast.
 
Love the attention to detail and the attention to detail with overall organization. Seems like a swiss army knife for hitting the front of an amp with just about anything you'd ever need.

A pedalboard is something I've never had but could see a use for.

The Buxom has a cut/boost Treble control (notched at 12:00) and then the Middle and Bass are boost only. Turned all the way down is no boost.

The Tight control cuts or boosts low end. Very versatile pedal.

Matt! It’s been quite a few years brother, how have you been?

Thanks dude, yeah that was the goal - basically have a bunch of tones armed and ready at the push of a switch while retaining the sound quality when bypassed which the Boss does extremely well! It’s not as versatile as something like the Helix which I also love but having the actual pedals in front of me is pretty cool.

Congrats, nice board. Isn’t the Strymon Dig just one of the best delays of all time? I love mine, simple controls, easy layout and stellar delays. I’m a set it and forget it person and the Dig suits me perfectly.

Thanks :) Yea, it's really a great delay! The only thing that kills me is how many awesome sounds are in there and you have to settle for a couple. I have the ES-8 CTRL out acting as a "Favorite" switch so I can switch between a couple sounds and then tap tempo and the hold/freeze switch sort of add some more flexibility.
