Its funny, for a guy with an amp business, James is so low key its almost like hes secretive about it LOL. Hes a great guy, smart as hell and his build quality is really a thing of beauty. His amps have some really cool features and his Chimera is the most crushing metal amp that I have ever heard besides the Fortin Natas..

I am really eager to try some of these out. I've heard a couple rough clips James sent me and I'm definitely going to get my hands on a Vega in the future. It's got a high-gain sound with a more vintage response and that "chirp" that so many modded Marshalls tend to lose. If you can play like EVH, you will get very pleasing results from this amp.

The FSM has changed since I got to hear it, so I don't really have anything to say about that. James will be the one to ask about that.

There's also a new dual channel chassis design, triple channel format and dual lead possibilities for pre-amp and dual channel formats. James has been working his ass off and managed to get 3 new channels out of this last year, along with some improvements with how some components work together. He's always great to buy from and very helpful. He builds very well and stands behind his products 100%.

Oh, and if you're curious about his products, he tends to be swift in replying to emails.

Yeah, where has James been? I was checking out his website a while back and meant to send an email so say hey, but apparently got sidetracked and forgot. Then again, I can't remember my exact age at the moment so maybe I did send it and he blew me off. Yeah, that's probably what happened. James, how dare you ignore me!

Wow, glad to hear this, i was planning on getting a 3 channel from James myself. Been out of this community and internet surfing for most of the summer, i also missed a couple emails from James when my CPU died.

Can`t wait to hear more about these new designs.

I`ve got my aggressive gain tones covered, only thing missing is that old vintage "AtomicA" type tone, EVH all day. I love that damn tone.

Hello folks!

Here's the quick rundown of the new channel designs:

Regulus: This design replaces the Polaris. Classic "Marshall type" OD, very vintage sounding, with some more "grunt" than the Polaris. Stays more vintage sounding even with higher output pickups than the Polaris did. The Polaris wasn't capable of being used in the "dual-lead" dual channel models or a triple channel model alongside my other high gain channels, so the Regulus was made to replace it. Yes, the Polaris is discontinued and no the Polaris was never meant to be a "VH amp" (despite how a couple people managed to make it sound), so don't worry you VH-sound-searching-type folks, this change doesn't affect you.

Vega: Well-suited to 80s rock/metal. Vintage high gain. Designed for those who found the Polaris "not high gain enough" and the Gryphon "a bit too modern". Whereas it can be considered suitable for VH-type sounds, it's not "an Atomica"; it's my own design, and not meant to be "an Atomica". If you want VH from it, you'll have to have the proper playing technique and also choose appropriate gear to mate with the amp (guitar that happens to sound right for the job, pickup that suits it, speakers, cab, etc.) That can be said of any amp "meant for VH sounds" too I suppose, but I wanted to say it anyway because every time the VH thing comes up people seem to expect the amp will "just sound like that on its own" somehow (even when they say they don't expect that, they actually do and expect me to say it). Some other sounds the Vega arguably can do well: GnR, Whitesnake, Dokken, Ozzy. You get the picture.

FSM: The Flying Spaghetti Monster is essentially a "more modern sounding Gryphon". A Gryphon owner made many clips using an overdrive pedal to boost the amp (and most people didn't realize it was boosted), so that led to many people being interested in the Gryphon for something it wasn't specifically designed to do. I'd steer these people toward the Hydra or Chimera based on what it seemed they wanted most from an amp along those lines. Now I have a design which covers that ground more accurately (but still "all tube", so it sounds arguably more natural than those boosted Gryphon clips). The mids and overall distortion are smoother than the Hydra, the attack is less vintage than the Gryphon (a bit more "squared off" for more aggression), and in a way it comes across like a "more even/smooth sounding Chimera". It's neat.

I poke around on the forums once in a while but don't post much. Any long-timer of the forums understands why, I'm sure. This last year has also been kinda nuts for how much stuff I've had to do...while actually producing the fewest amps I have in a long time. Weird. Oh well, the product line will be pretty fleshed-out when the site update is done. I have a trip to NJ next week to modify a bunch of customers' amps. Maybe I can have the site updated before then, but if not it'll be after the trip sometime.

So here's a picture of the new dual channel amps, with the acrylic panel option (metal grill is also available). This customer chose black chickenheads. Yes the logo illuminates.

Not only is James Peters on a plane right now on his way to NJ to stay with me for a week and update/mod all of my Peters amps, but I will have basically every available Peters channel in my house. Halo, Polaris, Vega, Gryphon, FSM, Hydra, and Chimera. I'm also excited because one of those amps is my brand new Peters Vega/Gryphon Dual Lead in the new anniversary look that James posted above. I will be ordering a Triple Channel Halo/FSM/Hydra next. Nothing touches these amps for what I'm looking for. There's nothing like them out there. And I have not seen anyone do an LED logo as good as this. The new look is badass. So classy.

Ok, enough bragging. If anyone is in the area, and is interested in either meeting James or checking out the amps, let me know. He'll be here until Friday. I'll still have the amps after he leaves, though.

I`m waiting on James coming back from your place to get the ball rollin` on a triple for myself. Only thing is deciding witch channels to get.

Either Halo/Vega/FSM or Halo/Vega/Hydra. I really want a nice clean, of course the Hola is superb for that, and a classic 80`s Marshally crunch that cover the VH tone, or close to, witch by James description the Vega covers, and a more brutal tone, but not to the point of the Chimera, more like the Gryphon but a bit more.

What`s your take on the Hydra vs Gryphon. Or the FSM if you heard it?

It almost seems James could go the modular route but I'm sure the PS and Output stages are tweaked depending on what preamp the heads get. Would love to demo some of these amps. Just can't feel comfortable enough to order from clips (any maker). Frustrating when 10 minutes with each design and you know you would find a winner. Three channel sounds great clean/dirty/filthy.
