I'm digging it. Single volume knob. LOUD Dimarzio Super Distortion and Duncan Quarter Pounder.

This is the first time I've completely wired up a pickguard from scratch. Had a lot of fun and it sounds great.

Went from all singles, Injector at the bridge to this and couldn't be happier!

Very nice! Always cool to see what players do to their Strats.

Nice...my favorite pickup config. Another good single coil to pair up with a hot bridge humbucker is the Dimarzio SDS-1...somewhat like a P-90 in output and dynamics.

Another reason why I like Strats so much. You can configure them so many ways.

I might have to try that one I have another Strat with one of the Dimarzio rails at the neck that I don't like. It doesn't pair up with the Aldrich at the bridge.

For some reason i think this is the coolest looking pick up configuration

I do have a couple Strats that have three singles and of course that looks classic as well.
Either way rocks.
HSS doesn't look as cool to me. I have a Strat with that config as well but it sounds so great I don't care what it looks like!

This. Same config in my Mammoth Custom SS. JB in the bridge and Lil '59 in the neck.

I like the S-H configuration as well, especially with 24 frets. It's probably me but I find the middle pickup gets in the way.

Where did you get the pick guards? And do they make customs from any template?

I've bought all my pickguards from Warmoth.
Check their website for styles.

Looks great. I really like the Dimarzio SD. Still don't understand why there's no 7 string version..

I wonder if they'll make one if you just call them and ask them??

Thanks guys. Can't wait to use it at practice tonight.
Unfortunately I won't have my amps, but the Twin Reverb sounds great with a Fulldrive II or Triple Wreck.
I do have to say it's got a great edge to it. The tone. It's sharp but with a big bottom end and some quack in the mids. I love it so far. Looking forward to plugging into my JTM45 and getting the volume up to about 8.

Do you find much of a difference between your rosewood and maple fretboards? More spank with maple? I'm trying to decide if i want to drop cash on a new trem or saddles or pawn my axe.

There may be a little more top end but not enough for me to walk over to the amp and lower the treble.

I've had so many guitars over the years and either a guitar sounds good or it doesn't. I never take the time to decipher what the root cause of the bad tone is, I just trade it away until I find one that sounds great. I have a few spectacular examples right now. Why do they sound so good? Why do they sustain so much and why do notes bloom off of them? Who the hell knows? I know they make me happy.

ahhhh nuts. I was hoping you had some secret sauce that made em all sound good no matter how cheap!
