I have this FATRAT for about 3-4 years now and the switch doesn't bypass anymore......

Anyways I called to see how much repair would be and they said no issue and just to send it in as long as I pay shipping...... pretty awesome and was ready to buy another one or pay shipping and may get another regardless but that's friggin awesome and I'm the original owner too so I don't feel bad for double dipping or having this be second hand or something.

Im on the website and I notice this...... Apparently it's coming out soon. Keep an eye out for them or any sightings...... it looks pretty cool and may get one given the new design and I like the approach. Dude over the phone said it's coming out within 3 to 4 months or sooner..... made in USA too ^_^

Haven't seen it anywhere but apparently it's available immediately :dunno:

"The Sterling Vermin features the LM741 Op-Amp and a pair of selectable clipping diodes. Players can toggle between the traditional RAT silicon diode configuration for a punchy, mid-range bite, or the BAT41 option for a smoother, more balanced response. The result is a pedal that’s equally at home delivering snarling distortion or articulate, low-gain overdrive, with a wide, usable tonal range throughout the entire gain spectrum.

The pedal also features CTS pots and oversized knobs for even, responsive control that affords a satisfying smoothness to the rotation, with just the right amount of tension. Additionally, the polished stainless-steel enclosure with laser-annealed graphics showcases the merging of the pedal’s vintage flavor and striking design.

“From low-gain tones reminiscent of a Klon or Bluesbreaker, to high-gain settings that flirt with Big Muff territory — yet stay tight and controlled — the Sterling Vermin is a masterclass in dynamic distortion,” says Gates, an ACT Entertainment Sales Representative. “With premium components, deliberate design and a focus on feel, the Sterling Vermin is more than a pedal, it’s a new chapter for RAT.”

The RAT Sterling Vermin is available immediately and retails for $349 USD. For more information about this solution"

Ima probably buy another FATRAT tbh or probably a TurboRAT as these are made in the USA too.

I didn't say I'm from here or there or anything just left my name and number and they got back to me within an hour to offer repair even though its well past warranty. I like that and pretty awesome, overall my FATRAT is pretty awesome and glad they are repairing free of charge.

Honestly didn't even know this pedal was even a thing. It should be released soon too if it isn't already in stores.

741 in a Rat is quite a bit different from the traditional LM308/OP07. It probably won't break down at high gain and therefore won't do the thing the Rat is so well known for. Interesting that they chose a different ancient crappy opamp in their attempt to modernize or hype up the product.

Yeah Ima probably stick to a FATRAT or some other derivatives........ plus looks looks cool but way too rich for my blood.

Alright so thing came back after they fixed the footswitch for free...... all I had to do is pay for shipping there and they sent it back for free and fixed under warranty...... it was a real bitch to open it and rip the packaging open but yeah.......
