NEW Ratt single "Best of Me"....

I love it, Ratt have really delivered the goods. So many bands I grew up with and idolized (in my opinion) have dropped the ball. Maiden, Priest, Whitesnake, Def Leppard, Motley, Heaven And Hell, Ozzy, Journey, AC/DC, Europe, KISS all have delivered so so releases recently, Ratt to my ears have delivered exactly what I wanted them too. Winger did it with their last album too, I'm trying not to get too excited cos this is only one song, but fingers crossed.

i like the tune, the riffs, etc. only problem is that i long outgrew the hokey lyrics of hair metal. :aww:

I wonder if Carlos Cavazo will get on Stephen Pearcy's shoulders like he did with Kevin DuBrow only facing the opposite direction this time.

almost spat out my morning coffee dude

Sorry but that tune was lame. No attitude at all. Plus agree on the stupid lyrics. Even if you're re-capturing a sound it doesn't work for me when 50 year old guys are still singing about "owning the night" or "backstage eyes"... whatever. I've always believed that Ratt didn't maintain their initial success or get bigger than above average in the 80's because of Pearcy's exremely limited ability with melody.

guitar sounds good.

I dig it!! It's Ratt baby!

My 11 year old son came down and asked if that was Ratt. "It has that sound" he said. He only knows Ratt from Guitar Hero. Hmmm...

Sounds like Vintage Ratt and it could of been released on the Dancing Undercover CD(Love that one!)

Glad to see they are going back to their roots.

Whats Warren using for an amp these days?

Sounds more like something that would have been on Reach For The Sky,......I didn't like that record.

It's OK. Dimartini's tone is great,....that's about it.

Oh you mean there was more than Demartini's playing?

I was just focusing on his playing which sounded great!
You can tell its him. At least he has built his own style thru the years.

Looking forward to the world tour. :D

Invasion of your local bar 2010 tour

i really wouldnt be surprised, steven pearcy a few years ago played a bar a couple towns over from me that would have a hard time fitting 100 people into.

I actually tried listening to that song....... I had to shut if off before i got to the first chorus. :aww: It's pretty bad.

The music sounded like any great Ratt song- good. The vocals... :aww: well, Steven Pearcy sounded bad.

Pearcy Never really was that good to start ,just a few steps above Blackie Lawless on a good day .BUT love or hate him it is a large part of the RATT sound..I think his voice fits the band and I think if you like Ratt you will dig this..

Besides most of us are only listening for Warren anyway and he still has it

As much as I was excited about the prospect of new Ratt  , I think it is crap :aww: . Nice guitar playing. Will definately see live. Definately NOT buying album, unless the other tracks are better. However, if that's their opening bet...

I dont think they can ever put out another Invasion of your Privacy......
That was just chocked full of great RIFFS!!........Oh I mean songs!

While I agree that Pearcy was never the best singer out there, this is far from the best he has sounded.

blasphemy. Blackie had and still has a great set of pipes...Pearcy couldn't hold Lawless's flaming cod piece on his best day :D
