New Rig Day - Dual Rectifier Reborn

Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result... I've done this more than once myself. :)

Like the other guys have said, are you boosting? Are you on bold / diode?

Have you had a Triple? They are much tighter & bigger than Duals. Now, they'll never be Mark tight, but that's why you have one of each!

IMO the Multi-Watts are more Rev F voiced. Here are mine, not boosted.

Just bumping this up, I managed to get a little more comfortable with the amp, thanks to an EQ in the loop.

It's still very dependent on what is being put into ti, pickups, boost, etc, but I think I've nailed down a couple good combos. Videos below:

Both clips sound great! Definitely tight enough, and the bottom clip sounded especially barbaric.

Welp, this is about rectifier #13 for me. I buy them when I find good deals for them in hopes that maybe I will finally bond with one. My last one, a 2 channel triple had something going on with the Orange channel that made me dig it much more than the other. Shouldn't have let it go, but sometimes money talks at the right moments.

Anyways, I scored a mint Dual Rectifier Multi Watt w/ Traditional 412 cab, road case for the head with 6 space rack on wheels, On Stage Stands pedalboard with cheap multi power supply, boss ns2, rowin noise gate, and line 6 G30 wireless system for $1,500. Figured I couldn't say no to that deal.

Anyways, got it home and plugged it in, hoping that the good things I heard about Reborn Rectos would make me like it, but my fears were confirmed. It sounds pretty much exactly the same.

At this point, I know I'm beating a dead horse and just wanting to like something I know I don't, so I've accepted that. I hear others play them and make them sound killer, but in my hands, I just don't like the slow tracking and bouncy feel while playing it. It is what it is.

You guys ever have an amp like that? You want to love but just can't? Anyways, here's the rig.

That would be a tough deal to pass up.

I've had 4 dual recs. Love em when I get em, til I don't, then sell them. And then I think I miss them, like now, thinking a Multiwatt would be fun again. Til it wouldn't.

There you go.
Sounds good to me.
Damn I thought you had a lot of amps before.
Do you own a guitar shop?
Yeah I run an EQ in my Rectoverb loop, boost out front, NS2 x pattern
What guitar is that?
I'm using a Schecter C1+ with a Duncan TB11 in the bridge

My tremoverb keeps me happy with rectos. TBH none of the others do the same for me, and I really don't want to fork out cash for a Rev F Triple but that is really about the only other Recto I crave.

Best Mesa I ever played by a mile was a Tremoverb
Makes sense due to the extra tremolo ckt as verified by the factory. The triple is far better when boosted though as pointed out earlier.

I have the reborn dual. Before that i had the regular 3ch. Night and day difference. Here's a triple reborn boosted:

I had a dual recto multi-watt and find myself missing it sometimes. Definitely needed a boost, I used a Maxon OD-808, and an EQ in the loop but then it was MONSTROUS. With an oversized recto cab I rattled all the dishes in my house with some palm mutes =D. I wouldn't mind a triple rectifier multi-watt some day.

Sounds nice. What specific model is yours? I would buy one of those right now. What store sells them?

Im not the guy on the video. He is rocking a boosted Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier Multiwatt through 2x Bogner 4x12s.
I have a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Multiwatt (2 power tubes & 1 rectifier tube, less).
Im sure they both deliver the goods ;)
