So I traded my Mesa Boogie MKIV (love that amp) for a Friedman PT-20.
Now I'm typically a 100, 120, 150 watt guy but I had to try this thing out.
I know it's all been said about Dave Friedman before, but this guy is amazing. I'm getting some of the best Marshall tones I've ever had. And.....I'm not sure how he does it, but this thing is LOUD. I've never liked EL84's, but I could care less what's in the thing, it sounds amazing.
I've also been wanting a 4x12. I've had many over the years but have been using 2x12's for the last decade or so. NOTHING sounds like a 4x12. So I got on local CL and asked a guy if he was interested in trading. I traded two (2) pedals I don't use for the Marshall cab! The 75's are ok, but I have a question/comment. I was thinking about putting a couple 65w Creambacks in an x-pattern. That way I could mic the Creamback on the bottom at gigs. Thoughts?
Anyway, I couldn't be happier. D. Friedman is incredible.
