Congrats!

... but I would've kept the MKIV.

The MKIV is a monster. Brutal and beautiful tones. My favorite Mesa Boogie.

The Friedman is just better suited for my pop/rock trio.

I'm shocked you moved your MKIV. I thought it would go to the grave with you!  Mine got some attention today after having spent so much time with my BE100 and Splawn QR. now I'm toying with the idea of moving it as I'm finding it doesn't really fit me anymore.

Yes, I know. The MKIV is a great amp. I loved that thing but the five knob, single channel just suits me.

Congrats on the new Friedman, but sorry to hear about the mark IV going.

If TX6strings sells his Mark IV, I may be the last man standing with my Mark IV. Had my 1990 Mark IVA since 2001, previous owner sold it and he moved to a Line 6 Flextone II.

With the Friedman PT-20, do you miss the thump of a big iron amp?

...Would like to get my hands on a Buxom Betty someday as well... though no OD tones there.
When I was at NAMM a couple of years back, they had the Friedman BE-OD pedal hooked up to the Buxom Betty...the two paired together was really impressive.

Mmmmm... yeah, I believe that would do nicely (and was exactly what I had in mind with the Betty).

Not yet. When I play heavier stuff with my buddy and run a couple 4x12's I use my 6505+.

I'll probably hang in there with you a while longer. There's not much in the way of amps I haven't tried or am interested.
