These will get you noticed! :D A little too bright for me, but I wouldn't mind having a black or white one.

"Since the 1950's, California car culture has heavily influenced guitar finishes. The Frost series is our take on the current "Matte finish" trend. This finish has an uneven, textured surface which deflects light at different angles, causing it to appear matte. Never satisfied with the norm, we developed a custom combination of matte and pearlescent paints to create an entirely new optical effect - where matte meets shimmer."

They need to work on the headstock and not the paint...

I agree!! Make all Suhr guitars with reverse headstock. That regular headstock only looks decent on a few Suhr guitars

Serious boner....I like that finish a lot. I could see one of the black, or white one's occupying a space on the guitar stand.

Suhr are great guitars. I wear my Suhr tee shirts and feel proud with them on. Thats unusual for me.

I see your serious boner and raise you one!

Hey glip where'd you get your tees?

Isn't this the same as the soft-touch finishes of the early Pro Series Moderns?

Nice but wish maple fretboard was an option. Ahhh , why do i care? Price will be out of my reach anyway.

I really never got the Suhr headstock "hate". Are there better looking headstocks out there? Absolutely. But, they just never seemed that bad to me. I view them as rather classy. To each their own, I guess. I do agree that they look pretty nice reversed.

Can't you order these things in basically any finish anyway? Or has the Suhr shop become to overloaded to handle stuff like that?

Not bashing Suhr at all: he makes killer killer stuff. Just don't understand runs of his guitars in special colors with limited options.

It'd be nice if they made a series like this (with no maple top or fancy finish) really affordable to the public. "Really affordable" for them would be like $1,499, which is still pretty high for most people. I have no idea what these will go for though. If I had to guess, I'd put them close to the Suhr Pro Series M models, which are around $2K. But, being a limited edition, I'd say $2,499 maybe? Maybe even more? Who knows? :dunno:

Three came from direct from Suhr. Steve Smith(John's Partner) sent me two white ones and Noel sent me a nice black one when I had dealings with them. It didn't hurt that I had gotten cool with Noel and Shon some. You may be able to buy them direct.

Good business and a little something different for Mike Ponce and the other builders to do. Keeps their skills fresh and honed rather than the mundane of the same guitars day in and day out regardless of how big their options list is. Kind of like a band making new music. Keeps them going. The LE runs sell very well to dealers. They sell out or close to it on pre order slots. I know the 80's run LE did very well.
