New Sylosis album 'Monolith' featuring Dan Gower Amp Mods

The band 'Sylosis' recently finished recording their new album 'Monolith', which is planned for release 9th October Worldwide on Nuclear Blast Records.

Lead guitarist/vocalist, Josh Middleton, has been using a JCM800 head for the last year which i modified for him. He told me that 99% of all the guitar tracks on the new album (both rhythm and lead) were recorded using the modded JCM800 :rock:

Awesome Dan, they're playing at the venue i work at in October in Luxembourg, i might quiz him on it ;)

they played here a few years ago with black dahlia murder, killer band

Killer guitar tone and music. Not a fan of those kind of vocals, but it's ok.

What was the mod on the 800 Dan?

Phil, the mod i did to Josh's 800 is like a variation of the Cali Mod. Different clip circuit and also some other circuit changes. It's called the Sylosis Mod and I still offer it :rock:

Been a fan of Sylosis since their first album which I vastly prefer over the second one. This seems promising.

Thanks Jason! Yeah i think this new album will be better than the last one. So far just the two latest tracks are already more my thing than any of the tunes off the last album. Awesome stuff for sure!

Definitely would be good to catch up when you're next in London. Beers are on me! :rock:

Hey Paul,

Josh is actually dropping off a JMP to me soon for a new mod, so hopefully he will have both the modded 800 and modded JMP when they play at your venue in Luxembourg :-) maybe you can check them out at soundcheck!
